Winter expedition to extremely remote cabin in the Alaskan Wilderness

Published 2024-02-02
Dick Proenneke built an off-grid cabin in Alaska the same year and the same size as this rugged and remote cabin, only this cabin was abandoned 6 months after it was built. Today @TruckHouseLife and I go on an epic adventure to visit this incredible homestead and explore the massive glaciers and mountains that surround it. This is a story of survival, adventure, and friendship in The Last Frontier.

Didn't realize you guys had a history together. Probably even cooler now that you both have successful YouTube Channels!!

I love how in alaska we have these amazing cabins all over for use by anyone and everyone leaves it in a better condition than they found it in.
  • Tim's channel is already a favorite and now yours is as well. Great video. โค

Iโ€™m impressed Tim cleaned his front seat off so you had somewhere to sit in his truck. Thanks for a great video

  • That cabin is as old as me. I was born 9/3/1966. It is a 57-year-old cabin. She still looks pretty good!!! Age is just a number!!

45 year old grandma here lol ๐Ÿ˜‚ from Manchester UK and found Timmy first and now these videos! If I ever win the lottery I want a long road trip around the states and Canada and then some heat in Mexico (Iโ€™m short and pale so probably burn very easily lol)! We never get any deep snow like this. A couple of inches and the trains and buses cannot run and schools shut. Need some Alaskan spirit!
  • @Rudeman53Gaming
lol I watch you both. At one point you tease him about your video being the better one. I watched both and you were right. I do love both yours and Tim's work, thank you.
  • Imagine doing that trek back in the days of no ski-mobiles, protective warm clothing, power tools/chainsaws, easy prepare foods, etc etc imagine using dogs and horses and needing to haul food for them as well. Now we get almost live coverage of it all !!!! Thankyou for sharing an awesome adventure ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ŒโœŒ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

  • I'm 72, and my adventure days have limits now; fewer and far between. This is a great way to adventure while sitting in my own warm cabin in the woods, and reminiscing about the 'good old days'. Thanks for taking me along!

My FIRST TIME commenting on your channel. With that being said, I want you to know that this episode was just seamlessโ€ฆso smooth to watch (is that a thing?). You have a great talent for making the viewer feel immersed along with you in this journey. Kudos to you because that is not an easy thing to do. ๐Ÿ˜Š Take care, stay safe, and be healthy!
