What I’m hoping is that the fact that the Tacoma won’t “boogie” like the ford or chevy reflects the typical conservative Toyota design philosophy, and this engine will last 300k miles.

Really enjoying your channel and the Tacoma series. Great work guys.

Mileage is impressive. Just did a 200 mile road trip yesterday in my 3rd gen. Averaged mid 17 mpg on the highway 70-75 mph.

Great review! How does this compare with a Nissan Frontier. I think Frontier has an advantage of price
  • @chrisb9478
Great review. I’m thinking of trading my 21 Trd OR, but will probably wait till next year & see how the hybrid max does too.

No need for Scotch felt on tailgate cable. Just give the thin metal located at the eye of the cable a slightly more bend in order to make it more snug.
  • @jeffw8432
There is Auto Start/Stop on 4x4 Limited FYI! Also my tailgate does not rattle.

Thank you for being honest about the Ford Ranger and how it ' Rips ' in Sport mode because it totally does,,,, and this doesnt..
  • @ctapmgriley
I would try a rubber o-ring on the bed cable rattle.
  • @evilmonkey003
I get 22-24 consistently in my v6 2.7 F-150. Kind wish the Taco got much better milage
  • @alexgarcia3900
All you had to do is turn on mts and select a mode to easily go over that. Or locker
  • Would you recommend the iforce or iforcemax for engine longevity with some occasional towing?
  • @Strickland325
was diff lock on when trying the hill at the end? It didn't look to be.
  • @Doc1855
Two months is Long Term? Yesterday I watched a video where a man had a 2018 Tacoma TRD Off Road with a manual transmission. He had 318K miles on his Tacoma. Now that’s Long Term

22 MPG isn't much better than what I get in my 2021 TRD Pro. For the added complication with the turbo I'm going to stick with my third gen for now. Nice truck though, enjoy!

TFLs latest video shows the Ranger beating all of the midsize trucks in drag racing. So it shifts better than Tacoma and all the other ones.

Wow 2 months is long term now? 😂That’ll make it easier for Ford and GM to compete for sure. I was under the impression that long term meant 4 years 😮

No auto start/stop? Tacoma just moved up my list.
