I love how at the end of his videos, he does something like, “yup… that was fun.” Meanwhile, we’re all like, “AYOOOO!” Lol

I remember the first time I heard this song. It was in my commercial theory class in college. I was blown away by the smooth key changes and boldness of this arrangement. The incredible melody and use of instrumentation made my mouth drop. Its such a classic that every musician should know and analyze at some point in their life. Your arrangement here is lovely, Mateus. ! Thank you for sharing!

Man, what a genius. I also love how his tone distorts when he digs in harder but is clean when he plays softly. We get a wide range of sounds in this song resulting from his dynamics.

His licks are beyond beautiful. He has great feel great and no choice and great chops. they are simply beautiful. I don’t know if there’s a more melodic intuitive guitar player And possibly musician on the entire planet. I am obviously exaggerating because up until a couple years ago nobody’s heard of him so there’s always great talents out there and even time that no one ever hears and that’s a shame. Commercial music and the pop music scene has done nothing to advance the greatest music there is. At least not for a long time. Despite the fact that the web home recording in Spotify has broken down the barriers to entry, the most well-funded acts back by a label still get most of the bandwidth. I suppose it will always be like that. But every now and again somebody comes out of nowhere and it’s good enough for people to pay attention and to be that good is very hard. To come out of nowhere with no popularity or trend behind you you have to be five times better or 10 times better even. It’s not enough to be twice as good as the latest flavor of the weak act because most people listen to music because it’s played for them constantly and people like familiarity. People also don’t want to be ridiculed for having original thoughts unless they have confidence. You’ll never see your average person try to turn someone on some music nobody’s heard. People need things to be validated or stamped with a societal seal of approval. They can come in the form of popularity where to come in the form of subculture which you believe makes you nonconformist while you were actually conforming to the subculture but every form of music you hear on the radio and that young people tend to be into you in mass is usually something that has a big following and they can simply jump on the bandwagon. That’s not to say that certain van wagons aren’t worth jumping on because the music is that good but it also means that 90% of the stuff that people listen to the radio on Spotify is swill. It’s no different than television or film most of the stuff is crap targeting the lowest hanging fruit As their fan base
