Mike, it's beautiful. It's such a clear narrative story, I'm desperate to know: What's it about? (I could decide for myself, you know, cos it's music. But I'd love to hear whatever you're willing to reveal of the story behind it.)

Musicians are, most of the time, the only people who can make me feel anything. This is nourishment for my soul.

That ending is something else

I have no words for how overwhelming this is. I have played guitar since 2001, and it is my primary emotional outlet. I have been suffering from fingertip dermatitis for the past year, which has prevented me from playing guitar during that time, despite my best efforts to address the causes of my dermatitis. I'm home sick for the past 4 days, and this just dropped. I clicked on it as soon as i saw it, and about 45 seconds to a minute in, right as that OC-5 kicks in, and there's a flash of a smile in the left corner of your mouth, a tidal wave of emotion blindsided me and i sobbed like an infant for the rest of the song. i felt fear, desperation, anger, frustration, and profound sadness, but buried deep in there, holding the whole mess together, Hope. I don't know if i've ever cried like that in my life. I've only listened to the song once, and i need to calm myself down before i listen again. I've had to pause several times to gather myself even as i write this comment. I am compelled to share my deepest gratitude for sharing this song. you have helped unlock a measure of the emotions i've been holding in over the past year. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU. I wish i could express to you the way i feel right now. This comment is a feeble attempt, but i want you to know that you have gifted me a puzzle piece on my road to recovery. Again, thank you.
