I got into Sabbath as soon as I got back from Nam in 70, peeled the plastic off every new album as soon it came out! I had 4 Pioneer Monster speakers and a giant Marantz amp that shook the foundations of nearby houses!

In 1972 I would come home from school, put this album on my parent's big-ass turntable, stereo, TV combo that was the size of a Honda Civic, and smoke a joint and lay down on the carpet and just JAM down. Just for nostalgia, put it on here and did the same thing at 67yrs old and much better stereo yet still some of the best music ever played!

Just began listing to Sabbath, struck GOLD.

My old band used to play this song, and Im convinced that our bass player just wrote his own parts. He was incredible! He passed away two years ago and this song always makes me think of him.

When I was four years old, I was at a Record Town (R.I.P.) with my parents - I wandered over to the "B" section of the CDs - I came across this album cover, and it scared the s**t outta me - I had no idea what it was, or who Ozzy Osbourne was - I was unaware it was a rendering of him. I thought it was a "mustard monster", and I ran out of the store, screaming, "I SAW A MUSTARD MAN! I SAW A MUSTARD MAN!" When I was 16, I came across this CD, bought it, and still have it.

To everyone new here When I heard their first album back in Feb 13 1970 I was shocked I never heard any type of music such as this. Their first album is a masterpiece and has been the blue print for all heavy music type bands, But none will replicate the mighty Black Sabbath.

Bill Ward, the subtle fills on the high hats, he swings a metal song like no one

The first Sabbath song I heard - my older brothers album. Didn't realize at the time this was going to be one of the most iconic bands of all time.
  • So many of us are in our own wars , addiction, narcissism, PTSD, abusers, ! Remember hope and prayer, not bitterness.
  • One of the best riffs and vocal of all time. Writing is also fascinating
  • One of my favorite Sabbath songs ever even after 30+ years of loving them! Absolutely fantastic
  • I have seen this man in person and so many times LIVE and I honestly can say OZZY your heart is larger than anyone knows. One Love

No snow for me, but I'll smoke a fatty and listen to this all day .✌️🤘🔥
  • this remaster they really turned up the drum resolution compared to other digital versions ive been listening to. Bill Ward is just a crazy talented drummer.

This is my favorite thing I've ever heard Iommi play.
