Hey mate. Just took my K&N off my 2002 Ford Falcon (Australia) to clean it but figured I better check the youtube first. Thanks for all the info in this video. Made sense, easy to understand and didn't over complicate things. Cheers mate.

Thanks for the tutorial Jeff. Although K&H said that the filter should be cleaned every 25,000 miles in off road, dusty conditions (50,000 in normal conditions), I cleaned mine on my Grand Cherokee after about 10,000 miles. It improved the gas/mileage ratio.

I didn't even know there was such a thing as a K&N cleanable air filter and my mechanic told me it needed to be cleaned, so I really appreciated the information, thank you.

I find that the K&N filter improves my mileage. Apart from tire pressure being too low, keeping an air filter clean is the most common issue motorists have that can improve mileage.

Good tip on only oiling the intake side. I hadn't considered that it could get on the airflow sensor.
