My parents moved to assisted living from their home of over 50 years in December, 2023. They are 95 and 99. A grandson bought the family home and he acquired the family stool. It never had a back like the one you found, but it has the folding steps. If someone in the family hadn’t bought the house, I would have taken the stool for myself. So many memories in one little seat!

It makes my heart smile when people truly save items from the landfill. Love the wood replacements on the first chair!!!
  • WOW! The granny stool chair took my breath away! Simply perfect and I’d love one in my home❤️❤️❤️❤️

I love picking up gems from the side of the road. I found free frame, and it's the perfect size I've been looking for! Fun, fun, fun!

They were all beautiful, but the first one brought me Some wonderful memories. Today's Quote: ""Kindness is giving hope to those who think they are all alone in this world". I used to bring things home to use. One time I found a beautiful dresser, it had bed bugs. We spent so much money getting rid of them Now my other half doesn't want me to pick up stuff. 😢Huge hugs. Namaste 🐞🐞🐞
  • I had one of these from my mom also. I redid the seat and back with new vinyl. It worked out great. The wood was still good so didn't need to replace it. My granddaughter uses it at her art desk.
  • I love that grandma stool and the stool from the chair!!! All are wonderful!!! You give us such good ideas!!!!
  • I got a grandma step chair from a church rummage sale for $5 last year, sanded and reupholstered it and I love it!!! 👍😊

I love the Cosco Chair that you did first. I have one and I’m going to remove the seat, back and steps and redo it just like you did. I’ve had it for a few years and couldn’t decide how I wanted to redo it. Thank you for the inspiration 💕💕💕
  • I do love all the up cycles you have done today the two that I especially like the chair step stool, which I also remember in my grandmother’s kitchen, and the Adirondack chair. You have so much talent thank you for sharing.
  • These were all great up cycles. My favorite was the kitchen step chair, brings back memories of my childhood 😊
  • Love all the chairs!!! Love watching trash to treasure videos my favorite!

I had to smile at your last recycle. My late mother had, by necessity, a make-do life. She took a backless chair, made a cushion for it, edged it with a hanging down ruffle and it served as my desk chair for years!
