The new Chevy Silverado EV RST is the new long range Electric Truck KING. With an advertised range of 440 miles. Today we find out how realistic that range actually is with a 440 mile road trip from Las Vegas Nevada to Phoenix Arizona. Watch Dans video HERE:    • FIRST Range Test of BEST Road Trip El...

Ambient temperature outside during this test was a rainy 68 degrees F (20C) There is about 1000ft of elevation drop between Las Vegas and Phoenix. 95% of the time we were going the speed limit on public roads (55mph to 75mph) - except for the dirt road diversion to film and do the truck walkaround.

Can we talk about the hair in that picture? Classic

I was not expecting this truck to be this cool.
  • dang... im genuinely impressed. i think this is the first truck ive seen in at least 15~20 years that is designed to be used as a tool and not just a taller car to blind people with at night, and its an EV no less. good job gm, im very interested in picking one up once prices drop down from selling your firstborn levels

0:18 The realism on that Cybertruck illustration caught me off-guard. Good work channel animators

It's almost like GM listened to their customers. Wild.
  • Okay, I'm a Ford guy but damn that 220 outlet and false wall are some sick sweet features, especially the false rear wall! Definitely the best use, most innovative feature I've ever seen, well done Chevy, I see you're making up for the Fiero still.

Well done Chevrolet from the UK. That is a very impressive achievement. I hope you have great sales success and change the EV landscape with this one.
  • @AJKammerer
That midgate on a capped truck could make for an incredible camper.

I’ve never been a Chevy guy, but I gotta say I’m impressed with this truck. Not only did they hit the nostalgia factor with the design but that range is really impressive

I LOVE MY AVALANCHE! I am SOOO excited to see it reborn as the EV RST. With the window still in but the midgate down, you can have a tonneau cover on, (like the older Avalanche) and have the cab sealed and still haul over 8 foot long material with the tailgate up.

This is maybe the first time I've been thoroughly impressed by an EV in years. This is a huge jump in practicality and worth
  • 1:00 Zach with hair? Wow. Also check and see if the paint scratches at a level 6 with deeper grooves at level 7.
  • @Forlong21
I am actually impressed with this truck. So many nice features that clearly takes into account that current and previous chevy owners will like the truck.

The content and quality on this channel is insane. Just subscribed….

This truck must have been designed by a tradesman, or at least had one consulted on during its design. It's got everything that works just right for people in the rough work trade like construction, plumbing, contracting, woodworking etc. That tailgate that becomes a step, the built-in step in case you can't use the one in the tailgate, the removable back wall and the way it's designed to stow everything away neatly - the glass panel and the seatbelt clips - the rear power outlets, the switchable rearview mirror.....everything's just so useful and functional, and keeps away neatly when not needed.
  • Seems like this came out of nowhere! I’m not normally a truck person, but this is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for. Excellent range and charging speed, normal-looking design, HUD, digital rear-view mirror, huge bed capacity (!), DEDICATED HVAC CONTROLS - it’s actually perfect.
  • @aznexile602
pretty innovative. I'm going to be looking at purchasing this truck in the future!
