  • There's a big Japanese Supermarket in Edgewater , New Jersey which opened in 1987. The conglomerate that owned it went bankrupt ( Yohan Plaza) new people took it over and now it's called Mitsuwa Marketplace.

I used to buy onigiri (Japanese rice balls) and eat them in the parking lot with my friends. I also got my first job offer in that parking lot. It brings back memories; I need to go back and visit again.
  • they got the secret sushi restaurant on 2nd level back....good stuff

Can’t wait to visit this location. I’ve only been to the one in West Covina. This one seems bigger and nicer.

Thanks for this informative video. I work around the area and pass through there every month with the family. Planning to stop by for a lunch there later this month to check the place out especially that 2nd floor sushi restaurant.
  • Thank you for your video! Now, I am very interested in visiting the Tokyo Central in Yorba Linda!

I live down the street but never been here... I need to go

There's one less than a mile from my house in West Covina CA. Their meats are delicious but expansive. Also there's plenty of chips you won't find in American supermarkets. They have ready made food where you can eat inside.

I'm here at least once a week for my bento lunches, eel, calamari salad, and pickled cucumbers! It's a great place. And the takoyaki stand is awesome!!!

There's also another Japanese market on Azusa avenue in West Covina, CA.

I live in a city neighboring Gardena. I will need to check this supermarket out soon.
  • Thanks for this video! I tracked down a Tokyo Central in West Covina, on my way home from LA today. I almost felt like I was back in Japan! Although we couldn’t buy the food or groceries this time, I definitely needed to buy a few bottles of Pocari Sweat and some Coolish!!!
