We accept the love we think we deserve. Simple yet so deep. This book just broke me 😢
  • i also finished The Stand earlier this year and loved it and was worth reading for 2 months.

Reading The Stand during the pandemic gave me the same vibe to when your wife had said something about reading Jaws at the beach. Very eerie.
  • Ok. I read American psycho last year. When I was done I was disgusted and so happy to put it down. But ever since then I think about that stupid book constantly. It is amazing in ways I cannot express. It is HIGH satire. The movie does a great job too. I would recommend Reading American psycho but don't come for me if it pisses you off. 😂

Loved Stoner. So glad you picked it as your number 1 choice! It’s such a quiet book but so thoughtful. Your videos are great. 😮

I don’t think George RR Martin intends to finish his series. I genuinely believe he’s done with the whole thing. 😢😂

The Stephen King punch combo at 4:30 sent me 🤣

Reading Stoner was very similar to me when I read The Remains of the Day by Ishiguro...once I finished, I immediately started to understand its subtle brilliance.

Half a year of books being sick!! Yay🎉 look forward to the next half & beyond
  • Hey! I don’t know if you know this or not, but Bret Easton Ellis and Donna Tartt went to Bennington together and were/are? friends. The film of American Psycho is directed by Mary Harron, who directed I Shot Andy Warhol, another good film.

  • Live in Maine love coming home and seeing a new video from Books are sick You have to read Swan Song by Robert Mcgammon it is a dystopian novel about a group of people from New York City going across the country very similar to the Stand. Read it!
