Dragnet is a radio and television crime drama about the cases of a dedicated Los Angeles police detective, Sergeant Joe Friday, and his partners. The show takes its name from an actual police term, a "dragnet", meaning a system of coordinated measures for apprehending criminals or suspects.

Did you ever notice that the trials of the defendants only lasted one day? Now, most trials last weeks. They didn't mess around back then.

Some of these other actors stayed working with Webb. A number of them appeared on "Dragnet'' in the '60s.
