Dragnet is a radio and television crime drama about the cases of a dedicated Los Angeles police detective, Sergeant Joe Friday, and his partners. The show takes its name from an actual police term, a "dragnet", meaning a system of coordinated measures for apprehending criminals or suspects.

  • Did you ever notice that the trials of the defendants only lasted one day? Now, most trials last weeks. They didn't mess around back then.
  • Some of these other actors stayed working with Webb. A number of them appeared on "Dragnet'' in the '60s.
