In this video I walk through my experience of getting an Ecogenica EG-290FR installed at my house.

Finally, moving into my own home, I was able to install Australia's #1 performing heat pump and am very happy with the results. I run through the installation process and common questions I get, including noise and temperature of the system.

Hi Jesse, thanks for the video. My 290FR system was installed by FreeHotWater last week. You mentioned in this video about the idea of setting a timer on the system to have it not run some times. I would like to do this to stop the unit running from 3pm to 9pm when my electricity price is double. Instead of getting a technician to do this using the internal controller board, (you mention at 8min20sec not ideal for an owner to do that), is it OK if I just put an outdoor rated timer on the powerpoint that the unit is plugged in to? I just wanted to check that the unit does not have an internal timer to do a heat spike once a week for legionella that might not work if I am turning it off every day with the timer?

Thanks for Video,i am getting confused to choose between istore and ecogenica. I got quote for istore which expensive than ecogenica . I saw your video about comparison of all water pumps and found ecogenica 290FR is best so i made my mind go with ecogenica. My system will install in couple of months. Could you please what is main difference between istore and ecogenica? Am i making right choice as you are using same syatem now?

I've just had the same system installed, and on previous systems I've worked on I noticed that the compressor had an LED touch panel that could be used to reconfigure the compressor. Before I go undoing any screws, do you know if the compressor from ecogenica has this feature?

I have emailed Ecogenica 4 times and they never contact back except for the auto responder promising someone will contact us. What do think I should do? Do you have a direct contact at ecogenica that you could put me onto. We currently have no hot water!!!
