People don't get it. This is exactly the type of anger that would drive a normal law abiding person to commit a crime against someone.

Squatters have more rights than owners! Madness!
  • @kp5496
The squatter faked the lease 1000% because if she didn’t, why wouldn’t she communicate with the homeowner and make plans to leave after she realized they were both scammed? She did the scamming. That’s why.

The fact that the woman living there won’t even talk to her makes it clear that she is the scammer. If she had done nothing wrong she feel sorry for the real owner and be willing to work with her. Laws about squatters need to changed to protect the homeowner. This is ridiculous.

Guarantee you that if this situation happened to a cop or a judge, this nonsense would end pronto
  • There are way too many people in this country who think they are entitled to other people's things. It's everywhere. They get insulted if you tell them that they have no right to do that.
  • It’s way past time for the laws regarding this to change. The homeowner should not have to go through this kind of grief.

Our legal system in country is really messed up, You can rent a car with all the proper paper work and still be arrested if the rental company claims the car has been stolen. Someone can move into a empty house and show a fake lease and police can not do anything about it. Something is very wrong with the legal system that allows this type of thing to happen.

The reason why they don't do anything about squatters is that they generate money for the courts. I suggest you hire a P.I. to stake out the property. Soon as the person leaves, break BACK into your home (for which you have the legal deed to) change the locks and store their belongings off site. When they call the police on you, you show them your deed. Then have a 24 hour house sitter til the property is sold.
  • If the lady in the house actually did this, she should tread lightly. She may run across another person that is not as civil and wind up hurt for being stupid. A lot of people are unhinged these days.
  • @Poppi_Weasel
she should have Criminal Charges for falsifying a Lease
  • @gotwalk
Lmao!! The "renter' gave $8K?? How many renters have $8K???
  • @jeffrooo9606
Am I the only one who fines it ironic that there's nothing the police can do because of a fake lease. Yet, you rent a car from Hertz or van from u-haul and show them the contract you still get thrown in jail for weeks
  • @toosense
These days the criminal have all the rights. Squatters shouldn’t have any rights AT ALL to someone else’s property, such bs.
  • @deileen64
This is disgusting, I can't believe they cant get help her get this person out
  • @bnwo
The woman in the house knows that the worst that can happen to her is that she's evicted. She won't go to jail, so this is the perfect crime.

Signing a fraudulent lease. IS breaking the law. The home owner didn’t create or sign those documents.

Sometimes you can't leave it up to the courts. Take matters into your own hands
