South Carolina's aging school bus fleet is a concern as 1995 models are still on the road in some area.

  • Today, all the buses older than 2004 in my school district are retired, alongside a few 2006 models and 2 2007 models
  • Thing is the engine had nothing to do with the fire on this particular bus in fact it was still in running condition after the fire was put out this was my bus at the time of the fire but another driver was driving it I was on another bus at the time I wrote this one up because the brakes were burning and overheating idk what the cause was but the shop did come and repaired it and when they brought it back I had already left with the other bus and the other driver got on this one to cover her route now idk what the issue was that caused the brakes to overheat again but that’s what caused the fire I’m not putting blame on anyone all I’m saying is they should know the facts before they just go around saying that all these buses were setting fire because of the engine compartment and those 95 transits were the best buses sc ever brought they just was poorly maintained 🤷🏽‍♂️
