Kipchoge's WIfe : Honey dinner will be served in 2 hours. Kipchoge : I'll go for a quick marathon.

Stood at the finish line for two hours before the start of the event (having flown from Australia the day before). Stayed at the team hotel and managed to go for a run with some of the pacers the day after. Such a privilege. My arms feature several times in this video and the top of my head at one point. Almost famous.

The greatest ever moment in sporting history

Seeing Eliud finishing makes my eyes watery EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Please release all parts together as a full documentary

Such humbleness in his character, even after making history. Truly a role model for everyone.

This was indeed a dance of running, a flight of rare talent and imagination. When Eliud said the people were chanting "Please do this for us," I cried.

I don't think a lot of people realise how quick this is! 2:50 km splits! I would struggle to do 1k at that pace and he's doing 42 just amazing
  • I cant get tired of washing this video. I remember crying when he got to the finish line 😭. What an inspiration. There is nothing you cannot achieve if you work hard for it.

It was the middle of the night where I lived while I was watching this live. I decided to go to the garage where I had my bike trainer and try to complete a virtual climb of Passo Stelvio in under 2 hours while I watched Eliud try for his marathon. I took inspiration from watching him every second while I tried to pace myself for my own challenge. In the end, it took me an extra half hour but I enjoyed every minute of watching this event, alone in the garage, pushing myself to my max and screaming for him during the last kilometer with what little breath I had to spare. It is one of the most memorable moments I've had just being alone.

the 1:59 challenge inspired me so much, i was 18 when Eliud achieved this and thats when i got into running (i was a swimmer in highschool), 2 years later and I completed my first marathon, half marathon, won my first duathlon and just got 2nd place in my age category in my first triathlon.

So he runs 4:24 a mile for 26 miles then decides it’s “time to sprint”!!! Unbelievable ! And want a super nice human , a true world hero. 😀
  • @theblock6168
When Eliud go’s past the finish line everyone gets goosebumps.
  • I am sure that this is one of the most beautiful moments of mankind. It really encapsulates everything we can do when we work together for the good. It is actually a miracle.
  • It was brilliant. Transitions of pacers were seamless. I still get goosebumps watching this!!! It was like watching a running ballet! Absolutely beautiful. Good to hear from Eliud, the legend of our time.
  • @BjahhmedAthl
Yo this is the best Kipchoge montage I’ve ever seen
  • Damn!!. Tears came to my eyes watching this. What a moment that was!..Blessed love from Guyana🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾
  • Love this man. The humility he shows despite achievements of this calibre is simply as big a gift to the world as showing that humans can achieve anything through hard work.

I was watching live in Chicago! It was very late but I stayed up and watched the entire race. Eliud is such a pure soul. So happy for him!
