Tensions continue to dramatically escalate in West Asia after Israel launched strikes on Lebanon and Iran in the last 24 hours. Israeli strike in the Lebanese capital Beirut has reportedly killed a top Hezbollah commander. This comes after Hezbollah reportedly attacked the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights on Saturday, killing12 Israeli children. In another attack, Hamas Chief Ismail Haniyeh was killed in Iran's capital Tehran, where he attended the swearing in ceremony of the new Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. Both Iran and Hamas have blamed Israel for Haniyeh's killing, however, Israel has not claimed responsibility for the attack. Following Haniyeh's killing, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has vowed revenge against Israel. In the West Bank, Palestinian groups have also called a protest against Haniyeh's alleged assassination.
While the US is still stressing on Gaza ceasefire, countries like China, Russia, Qatar, Jordan and Lebanon have slammed Israel for the attack. Hamas Leader Haniyeh was leading the Gaza ceasefire talks for Hamas, which now seems to have hit a dead end. On Vantage tonight, Palki Sharma tells you more.

One thing that is clear is that he and his associates triggered the attack knowing that Israel would unleash fury over Gaza but they didn't care whatsoever for whats to came to their people as far as it quenched their political aspiration while they hide at safe places and play the mediator role living their lavish lives!
