Jumping up and down and shouting “YIPPIIEEEE” rn
  • If you liked the strings here, definitely consider giving A Moon Shaped Pool by Radiohead a listen.

Jigsaw Falling Into Place might be their best song of all time, it’s so hectic but meticulous i love it so much.
  • @gray4675
I’m deeply Radiohead pilled so I love watching someone experience their music for the first time

you've really found the perfect reaction/analysis format, being able to bring your interpretations and explanations while seamlessly letting the music also speak for itself. (ps: A MOON SHAPED POOL NEXT PLEASE)
  • @DinnyOHoon
The editing in this video is simply incredible - the attention to detail involved in cutting the audio together to skip 4 bars here, 8 bars there, while keeping the music seamless makes this such a pleasure to watch. Subscribed and can't wait to watch more!

Weird Fishes / Arpeggi on good IEMs / Speakers is otherworldly. Unlike any song I've ever listened to. Their best work.

Your format for reaction should be the standard in this format. No overreaction, insightful comments during the song, letting the audience experience the song long enough for people to want to listen to the album in their own time. The Community Favourite pop up is a nice touch. You have a nice community. I loved this album, Nude is my favorite song of all time. During times of severe grief over the death of my fiancee and the depression that came after it, the song comforted me like nothing else I could imagine. This song and Fishmans “Night Cruising” are my comfort songs.

10/10 record. One of the most replayable albums ever

Some trivia: - This was the band's seventh album and the first released after their contract with EMI expired. It was released as pay-what-you-want, where you could download it for free or pay whatever was right for you. - My theory for 15 Step is that the title is a reference to the plant Antiaris toxicaria, the poison of which is so deadly a victim can only take seven steps uphill and eight downhill before dying. What's 7+8? 15 Steps. - The band recorded the cheers of music school students for 15 Step. They wanted the kids to clap but the unconventional 5/4 time signature was too hard for the students to follow. - Nude was worked on for around a decade, starting during the OK Computer sessions. It was originally called "Big Ideas" by fans, as it was unnamed for many years. The final version was built atop the bassline written by Colin Greenwood. The intro is the outro reversed. - In Reckoner, background vocals can be heard at 2:49 singing "In Rainbows", which happens to be 61.8% of the runtime; the golden ratio. - Videotape is tricking you; the true downbeat is syncopated. The piano is playing half a beat before the downbeat.

"No matter what happens now, you shouldn't be afraid. Because I know today has been the most perfect day I've ever seen" I can't even begin to explain how insanely impactful that one line is. The hope and the sadness all wrapped up in one that Radiohead does so well. And even in a track that a lot of people write off initially because of the odd drum pattern. These guys are so incredibly good at what they do

that statement “where kid a felt to me like a meditation, in rainbows feels like a baptism, this song in particular. a rebirth after a plunge to the bottom of the ocean” is just so perfect to me and with that exact part of the song where you said it, I truly felt it
  • @Lupoong
In my opinion, Nude, Weird Fishes, All I Need, is the best 3 track run from any album. Each perfect in their own unique way, but also complimenting each other perfectly.
  • @nolifeloser9729
Weird fishes is tied with Empire Ants as my favorite song of all time. Not a single thing i would change about it. The drums, layered guitars, the beautifully sad singing, all perfect. Didnt seem like it clicked with you massively in your first listen but hopefully you come around to loving it

Jigsaw Falling Into Place maybe Top 5 of Radiohead’s whole discography. It feels like the culmination of everything the band was working for, inner peace and freedom. It’s a song that makes me move mad in ecstasy and completely consumes my body and soul to express my feelings that no words could ever do. I see the colors from every sound in my eyes and I see a beautiful rainbow. Then as soon as it reaches its peak, I ascend to a plane of existence that reaches far beyond the human eyes and the stars across the universe. In Rainbows is one to few albums I can confidently say is PERFECT from the first and last note. 100/10 Radiohead’s Greatest Album

Reckoner is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. It's like listening to a cuddle.

I was 15 when it came out and I was already a Radiohead fan for a few years up to this point. The distribution method was pretty revolutionary for the time, but what it meant for someone without a credit card was I couldn't get it for anything other than free. Even if I had paid $50 for it, it would not have disappointed. I listened to it over and over. All these years later it remains beautiful. I think this is one of Radiohead's greatest albums along with OK Computer and Kid A.

My father showed me Weird FIshes when i was 12 and i used to listen and sing it out loud with him everyday. Sadly he passed a way a few years later and this song makes me really emotional especially when i was old enough to understand the lyrics. I'm happy that this song exists and its one of my favorite songs ever made.
