This is why it sucks to be the UN because whenever anything substantive is going on all you get to do is object and vote, then object and vote again, but the world’s great powers just keep barreling forward with whatever they deem to be right, right or wrong.

The UN may not be powerful politically, but surely they are powerful in terms of boycotting as a block so as to avoid repercussions? Just a thought.
