Enjoyed following along on your adventures. The videos there were good but I think I more enjoyed the trip there and back.

DE W6CBS - Hey Randy - we've had visual QSOs at West Coast Hamfests before but never actually talked. I was in Sacramento most of my life and you were in Grass Valley. I'm in the SF Bay Area and you're in Oregon (just barely) for our retirements! I love Tu Tu'Tun Lodge. Will be at Depot Bay with another ham and his wife this summer. Thank you so much for your travelogue. I got on my local network (that I own throughout Northern California that connects to Hawaii, Washington State, and beyond, and encouraged everyone to see what was really going on in the life of a REAL ham traveling and enjoying the hobby. Thank you for the extended effort you spent every day to plan, setup, and record the daily activities, travel, and quartzite events, Living in San Carlos, and you know where that is, I have traveled all the roads you traveled, and I totally enjoyed the travelogue, timeline, decision making, and extended days getting home. Thanks for taking the time to make the week a great week for those of us who couldn't make the trip. - Bill Hudson W6CBS

As usual, nice job on these QF videos Randy! I hung out with the Sams Radio Hams group at Quartzfest. Hope to see you and Pip at Blue Lakes. 73, Jim, KT6W

Glad you made it home, here in Cave Junction, over the hill, we have a high wind advisory, but it has not materialized. I probably just jinxed myself saying that. I pushed and got home in two days. Unpacked my gear yesterday and today was the day of rest. All in all the Quartzfest weather window was pretty easy on us.

Thanks!

Glad your home safe Randy. You are truly the original.

Glad you made it home before the big blow, Randy! Hope you're rested now. Looking forward to seeing you on the hill!
-
Happy you made it home before the storm, and didn't have to dump your tank in the rain.
-
in your previous videos the airplanes you saw on display were a B-17 4 engine bomber, the most famous aircraft of WW2, the other was an F4 Phantom of the Vietnam era. I am surprised that anyone would not know what they were

Randy on your km3km amp and tuner the beep that you love appears to be able to be turned off. I looked at both manuals amp and tuner says that you have to have the button off which is color dark blue. In your video I believe you have the beep button on which is a gold color and says ON. Just looking to help I hope that it works 73's Bruce W4HAM
