Greatest Spoof film of all time. On a scale of 1 - 10, I'd rate is an 11.

This is almost 30 years old, based on a movie from 8 years earlier, for a band which "started" 20 years before the movie and it is as brilliant today as ever.

What I loved about these guys, was more than being funny with British accents, they actually got that deadpan British humour spot on!

"we got married in the states thinking it would make us both citizens" hahahahaha

"He went to visit the grave of the drummer and the grave blew up."  lmao Even from the grave Tap drummers get no rest.
  • I saw them in concert around 92. Nigel threw horseshoes at his guitar which was propped up. That was a solo. Seriously. It was awesome.
  • I love these guys so much. I'm British and I honestly think these accents are absolutely perfect.

I will always be bummed that I missed Derek Smalls with Lamb's Blood at the Monsters of Jesus festival.

“I hear you’ve been doing some inventing. Yes, because I said it, everyone who heard that got it from me”. Lmao

Never mistook them for a real band, but after seeing `This Is Spinal Tap' it was a few months before I could watch real musicians being interviewed, without laughing. They played the part beautifully.
  • @giaitchison
"Her name was Jeanine, right?" "Still is, yeah" 😂😂😂😂 gold
  • "Actually we got married here in the States thinking that it would make us both citizens. We just hadn't read the green card book thoroughly enough ..." Hilarious.
  • @GossomerPenguin
"Does the world really want you to come back?" Man, right out of the gate! Mr. Gibson did a great job playing along and GMA had gumph airing this. Awesome!
  • @SteveLoves2Fly
"She sells Irish clothing in a store  called Potato Republic "  "We're playing the Monsters of Jesus festival."

Fantastic!! they never broke character or let Charlie get away with treating it like a parody. Spinal Tap lives!!!!

Charlie: I heard, Nigel, that you had been doing some inventing? Nigel: Yeah well I said that. Charlie: Yes. David: That's where we all heard it. (cameraman laughing)
