Hi everyone! At long last! πŸ˜„ Luckily I managed to get my roaming SIM card to work. It's a bit expensive but I just had to upload this video and jump-start Season 4 today. For those of you who have been with me for years now, you know how it is whenever I'm onboard a ship. Uploads will not be regular due to unavailability of internet access. But rest assured that in between episodes, I'm shooting lots of footages and storing them, just waiting to be edited and uploaded. Once again, thanks for all your support. Enjoy!

Not a seafarer but still I like your patience, attention to detail and the calm and compressed narration. Thanks for this and upcoming videos. Eagerly waiting for them.

Your crewmates are amazing. Some hard working, down to earth good people. Here's to you, Chief, your crew mates, your boat and Season 4. God Bess, be safe.

Hi Chief Makoi, I am Dutch marine pilot for the Scheldt river and Gent. Hope to meet you someday in the ship! Love ur vids! Fantastic job informing the world about the whatsabout in the world of seafaring
  • Chief, one of the things I really like about your videos is the way you show us the humanity of you and your crew serving at sea. From videos like this, to the "teamwork videos" of making repairs, etc., to the celebrations onboard of everyday events we all take for granted, it gives us a connection to the real people plying the seas to supply us with our needs. Keep it up. Wishing you fair winds and following seas.

That homecoming was very heartwarming, great that you decided to spend such a long time with your family, I am sure they missed you a lot. Good luck for the new assignment!

You've come a long way Chief. I've quietly been watching your content for years. You're a better documentarian than entire crews working for Discovery. Keep it up.

Good to hear from you again Chief! Great news that you'll be going home soon, I'll bet you're happy! Some great shots in that video, particularly the drone shots and the view of the deck covered in snow was truly spectacular. Hope your time at home is long and enjoyable.

It’s brilliant to see you back, Chief! I’m so happy for you that you managed to spend a decent amount of time at home with your family. Having worked away overseas for extended periods myself, I know how difficult it can be. I’m looking forward immensely to your future uploads. All the best and take care!
  • I always enjoy you videos. I'm a retired farmer. Spend my life on this farm so I see the world through your eyes. Thank You!

For me, learning how difficult it can be to be at sea was eye-opening. These guys are unsung heroes who go through a lot just to bring food to the table. Thanks chief for opening my eyes up

That anchor dropping just woke up my entire household.

It's good to see you posting again. I thought you were likely at home for a while. I'm sure you and your family needed some time together after such a long absence. You were smart to wait out the COVID thing for a while, even though it is still present in many countries. Looking forward to seeing your next adventure regardless of how often you can post.
