It's been nearly 6 years since I posted a video to my channel, and I've been almost equally absent from all other social media. Today I want to provide an update to the kind people who tried to check in on me over that time, or even thought of me. I'm back and better than ever!

    I'm also rather interested in cryptography and information theory (maybe not telecommunications specifically)--but only as an amateur, not as a researcher. Have you learned much about quantum cryptography? It's mostly theoretical at the moment, but if you get a kick out of cryptography then I think it's kind of fun to think/learn about, and maybe would be a quick route to learning more broadly about quantum information (which is becoming increasingly relevant in industry, or so they say), if that's interesting to you.  I enjoyed this video and learning more about you! As an academic myself I always enjoy learning about other yo-yoers' experiences with the academe. ~yo-yoer in graduate school for mathematical physics
