In her recent book, Lucy by the Sea, the wonderful Elizabeth Strout briefly mentions Trump supporters, saying " I guess they must be pretty scared." This is a totally inadequate explanation for MAGA supporters, but very much applicable to these GOP Goons, who haven't got an aota of moral fibre in themselves.
