Maumao the rescue kitten could not be spayed sooner so she has been in heat a few times. They are pretty disturbing, especially at its peak and a lot of it is made worse due to the male cats roaming around outside the house.
It goes from being cute, more attention grabbing, to constantly meowing, always wanting to go out and crazy yowling and caterwauling so much so that I can't sleep at night and can't work in the day. Its truly like having a baby in the house.
Remember to spay your kittens when you get the chance to do it early. It will save your ears and stress. (for both the cat and for you)
Update: maumao has been spayed. She couldn’t be spayed sooner because she wasn’t in ideal health

For those who say it's not natural to spay a cat or dog should realise that it's not natural to keep a dog or cat housebound either. Letting them out is dangerous but Forcing it to stay indoors so it's not able to satisfy its natural instincts is also cruel . Either free the poor thing so it can do its natural thing but then you have the risk of getting it run over, lost, injured , infected or stolen or spay it as well as that you will definitely end up with a litter that needs caring for. If you spay the animal atleast it will be happy indoors and it's what the humans want too. So just spay the poor thing and put it out of danger and misery.

She's a pretty girl, looks like a Toyger. <3 Glad you got her fixed! One of my girls is in heat now, they really go non stop. I can tell how tired she is but it's like she can't rest, she has to constantly yowl and walk.
