This video changed my life. I was unemployed, unhealthy, and alone. Then I watched this video and my life was transformed forever. Now I'm the CEO of a successful company, I have a six pack, I'm happily married, and have two healthy sons. Thank you Boulevard Home for the amazing video!!!

It was a job in itself to clear my apt so my frig had room to be pulled out. But pull it out I did, and--dustpan & brush in hand--I pulled its plug. Then I got to cleaning the dust bunnies off the floor, as well as the dust off the frig, its cords, the walls, and ran a wet cloth on the floor. Man did it pick up dirt! Fortunately there were no dead mice. OK so now that my 5 minutes had passed, I plugged it back in. And, voila! The machine went to town working again. Whoo hoo! Thanks for repair 'splaining BlvdHome!
  • Hi Thank you for the information in the video. My Maytag was not cooling in the refrigerator and the freezer sections. I followed your recommendations. I unplugged the refrigerator for 5 minutes and I think that resetting the computer board may have been enough for a positive response as the sound from the fans running could be heard. Had to listen closely as they are quiet but before the reset there was absolute silence. I will be giving time for the cooling process to take hold. Just in case, I have a call into the appliance repair service. Selling house and the appliances have to be in working order so no time to waste.

My recent experience was that the Samsung unit I have went into demo mode for some reason. I've never touched the panel so I was glad to find a video that showed exactly what needed to be done to take it out of demo mode. Working again! I'm glad I had a big chest freezer to dump my meats to before they hit critical temps.

Thanks for the video. I'm having a similar issue with my KitchenAid KFCP. The problem is that it will work for a day or two and then the refrigerator gets warm again. I cleaned the coils (no effect) and then replaced the Damper assembly as the Evaporator fan is working but the damper door would not open. It only worked for a day so I then replaced the Thermistor but it did not solve the problem. At this point do you think it may be the Control board? I'm reluctant due to the cost but more importantly, I haven't seen a circuit board have intermittent problems unless there another fault elsewhere but maybe I'm wrong in this case. Any help would be appreciated.

thank you this vedio was good information . i bought this 1 1/2 year and now the freezer is not working. i will try your steps and get back to you
  • Try this to get the freezer working again. I have an LG Top-Bottom Fridge that was having similar trouble. Compressor and exterior fan were working fine but the freezer was not cooling. I removed the front interior trim of the freezer and saw that the evaporator fan was not working. I carefully unscrewed it from the housing frame behind the trim and checked the resistance and continuity on the wire connector which were excellent. Now I've seen repairmen who would just tell you to replace the fan but at that time of day that was not an option. Having done this before with a standing fan, I realised that all this fan wanted was a cleaning and lubricating of the magnets and impeller respectively. Eventually over time with these two there is a build up of dirt, and rust in some cases, which must be cleaned and so here is where WD 40 is your best friend. I used some of this on a paper napkin to wipe the two surfaces after which I used some treadmill silicone oil, you can use something similar, on the curved surface of the impeller as well as the shaft and end joint housing. I reinstalled the evap fan and plugged it in. Not only did it spin, but it spun faster than before. Also, make sure you clean the plastic fan blade which should just pop off the impeller shaft. I placed mine under the faucet and used some dishwashing soap. Hope this tip helps someone to save some time and money. πŸ˜€
