    Thanks for doing this Adam and Bill. It was very cathartic to hear you both navigate where we are. All that said Bill is spot on, we have well put together cars that drive well and that should be improved in the near term. Fisker should also have an 8 to 9-figure sum on their balance sheet to do the right thing for customers. They’ve also deferred revenue on their books to pay for FOO benefits, so we’ll see if/how they prioritize taking care of customers as they navigate solvency.

    You could see this companies dysfunction well before deliveries started. There was zero infrastructure in place. Who was going to service the vehicle in the U.S. was my biggest concern and it's the main reason I cancelled my reservation. I feel terrible for the people who went through with the purchase but how did you all not see this coming?
  • Great content. You're not too upbeat. You've done a great job up to this point. I lost my 5k deposit on an Ocean One as I walked away in Dec (final deadline). Ultimately for me it came down to too many broken promises--mobile techs instead of local repair shops (Firestone, Bridgestone et al), the 500 boost mode thing, and something just not sitting well with me about paying full price on a car with so many promised features not available at launch (vaporware). I'll continue to follow this story as I still lost money on a non-refundable deposit. I didn't attempt to try an claw back my money from Fisker through my credit card company, because I have integrity and didn't honor my commitment. I was good with the decision to eat the 5k. But with this bankruptcy, and ultimately their failures to execute on their commitments, I'm not so sure anymore. Either way, sad day, but good luck to all.

    May I suggest Fisker approach Apple to form a strategic partnership because Apple had tried to develop Apple car of its own until recently. I think Fisker platform complements well with Apple’s corporate image which is innovative, green, and sustainable. A strategic partnership will benefit both companies immensely and give Fisker the funding it desperately needs while resurrecting Apple car project to compete with the likes of Tesla. Please help spread the word. It’s a win, win, win!!!

    Adam, this is another excellent and insightful video. Bill, great job. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. My worries are how long the car will run since it is connected and what about future software updates. Even with 2.0 (2/2), we still need to get all the original promised features. I'm sort of with Connie about selling as this is my primary vehicle, but who would even buy it? I would probably take a deep loss. I agree with both of you; the vehicle build and ride are great. I'm good with the range and even the charge curve. However, this isn't enough, especially if the car stops working. We're taking it to Pittsburgh on Thursday, so I'm confident about that trip. For now, I'll be keeping the car, but what news. I know others are going to comment, "I told you so," or "You really expected them to be different." However, I wanted to believe in Fisker, and I think you're both right; mismanagement at various levels, not looking at the lifetime value of the customer, and expanding before the flagship was fully baked were the reasons. Thanks again.

    Thank you for the information. You have always been positive but fair. I could never pull the trigger based on lack of where I could service the vehicle IF I had a problem and Fisker continually wanting me to pony money upfront without a commitment on their end of when they would deliver. I just checked their website and at least for now they are not taking any orders but you can still configure a vehicle. My home page of please complete transaction is no longer there, at least for now. I wish luck to anyone who has paid for the vehicle, especially if there are any that did not receive it yet.

    Love the content. I live in Sweden where 80% of the EV market is business lease, tried for 4 months to order a Fisker but they did not manage to set up an cooperation agreement with the leasing companies. This is the results of a great cars downfall because of a bad management and marketing strategy…

    I'm 6.5 months in and just over 13k miles on the clock. I'm on my 4th long road trip since ownership. Love this vehicle (aside from the alerts) and am very sad to see how they could not right the ship from the management side.
  • Thanks again Adam and Bill! This situation is disheartening…. But if the cars were perfect and the stock was soaring, we’d be the smartest people on our blocks, right? Buying anything new is a risk, and although I’m concerned, I still love the ride! I picked up my Ocean Ultra on Jan 20, ‘24 and have had the usual annoying features not work, but nothing that left me unable to drive it. I did have to do a reset once when the screen went white. The only thing that was amiss before was that the radio wouldn’t play. Thanks to another YouTuber I had watched how to fix this. A trip to a car wash was difficult when I thought I had it all figured out - no wax on Big Sur Blue! But I was surprised when the car came off the assembly line and the doors were locked with the key fob inside! Fortunately I thought to try the tailgate and it was not locked. One of the guys climbed through and unlocked the car. Ugh… I have no idea how that happened. But I’d love some insight so it doesn’t happen again. You can be sure that the first thing I did after that was to pair the app with the car so that I could unlock it with my phone. But really, what new car only comes with one key fob??? Last week I had a slow leak in a tire due to a big ol’ screw in it. Called a tire place I had used in the past with my old car, and the guy told me the tires are foam-filled, not confident in putting a plug in, and nearly impossible to find new tires. Yikes, not what I wanted to hear since I had the car for 2 months, and 1009 miles! And paying a car note for a giant paperweight in my garage??? I called Fisker on Friday, could not get through, filled out a service request on the app (no response), worried for 2 days, then tried again on Sunday afternoon. Someone answered and they directed me to a Firestone dealer about 1 mile from my house. And followed up with an email to be sure I had the address. I don’t recall hearing that they have a contract with Firestone shops., but I was glad they do! An hour later the tech tells me I do NOT have foam-filled tires and this is totally fixable. $30 and I was out the door! Yesterday I went to drive the car and I had a msg saying Congrats you now have the latest software version. However, when I I checked it’s not 2.0. Ugh…. Still I love the ride! I have it financed through Chase (Fisker Finance) and what kind of hit would I take to my FICO score if I let them repossess it if and when it quits running and there’s no place to take it for servicing? That’s worse case scenario, but that’s where my mind is going now. Again, thanks for all your videos. And Bill is my favorite guest.

    A month ago, I had several convos with a Fisker rep and I was one phone call away from moving forward on a One Edition. I'm sure glad I didn't move forward given all of the uncertainty that has unfolded. A blessing in disguise for sure.

    Thanks for sharing. My heart goes out to all of the Fisker investors. I also feel for the owners as well. I just hope someone buys Fisker’s assets and figures out a way forward.

    This is a great lesson for investing in a stock where the fundamentals were never there and being an early adopter in an unproven vehicle. I wish you all the best and hope that you can find someone to service your cars and that Magna makes replacement parts.
