Things that happened while making this film really happened. Our journey begins at a small unassuming Antique Shop in Marriottsville, MD, when a filmmaker purchases an antique item, and finds himself confronted by the idea of spirit attachments. Curiosity gets the better of him and he embarks on a journey to find out more about this shop and the people that surround it! This is a true and honest documentary, and what happens during the course of this film, really happened!

My personal life drew me into this shop, and my curiosity with interesting people and stories led to this film.

Producing this documentary has opened my mind to the possibilities of energy lingering and slowly dissipating with time, like a footprint in concrete.

There are things I wish we had had the budget to do, that I feel would have increased the emotional honesty of some of the things that happened during the process of filming, but I am really proud of the work our team did on this documentary film and I sincerely hope you will open your mind to the honesty and thoughtfulness of this film, on this subject.

Thank you.

My dad passed away suddenly a few years ago. The morning I received the phone call he passed I went for a drive and stopped to get a bottle of water. I noticed a scratch ticket named Dollars for Dad. I bought the ticket, went to my car and scratched the ticket. I won $10,000! I couldn't believe it. When I went back into the store to validate the ticket, I looked up at the container that held the tickets. The number that was on the container that had the Dollars for Dad tickets was #21....which was his birthday. I had tears streaming down my face

My daughter passed in March of this year and I can't bring myself to throw any of her things away. I still have her tooth brush and hair brush in the bathroom. Her shampoo and body wash in the shower. It's hard going through a loved one's things knowing those items were some of the last things they touched or wore or whatever 💔
  • Christopher McGuinness This was a no budget documentary made because of people who generously donated their time. We did not fabricate anything that happened during the filming of this show and everyone told their stories. One can only fully speak for themselves, but I felt the stories were very genuine. I never intended to be in this show as being on camera is something I was very uncomfortable with at the time, but due to the things that happened someone had to tell these stories and Beth and I decided that it only made sense to have me in the show. I know I may be a bit uncomfortable in front of camera during the film, but I have become more comfortable over time due to this channel. Myself and the team learned a lot during this process and hope to make more episode, but if nothing physically happens during the filming of a show then the show will have to stand as the history and stories of the location and people around it, plus the information we are given by Harriet and guest experts in their field. We also have ideas on how to better film the show, there were things that we were unable to do at the time as we did not have a budget. If you don't believe me, that is okay, the people that know me know! Thank you kindly for reading! Cheers! - Chris

I appreciate that you didn’t hire a “professional” paranormal team to do an investigation during this documentary. I love that y’all were focused on the documentary, and telling the stories of real people. No reenactment, fancy ghost equipment, or jump scare noises. Just authentic people

This should be a series. My boyfriend died suddenly 3 years ago. A few days before he died we were talking about ghosts and I said I did not belive in ghosts. We made a deal that whoever died first, would let the other know if ther existed. He sent me so many signs and has continued to do so in gentle ways as I told him not to scare me.

When my sister died I was heartbroken….we were very close, one in awhile I smell roses, beautiful scent, I know it is my sister coming to comfort me….
  • When he mentioned that it is believed that spirits can become attached to objects like tables and chairs, that really resonated with me. I have difficulty in thrift shops and I can't wear second-hand clothes. I can feel the energy that belongs to someone else and it is overwhelming.
  • My brother died tragically in October 2021. My mother and myself have had so many little signs to let us know he is around us. It does bring some comfort to know that we will see him again when our time comes. ❤️
  • After my sweet husband died I saw him at the front door and felt him touch my hair. Very comforting
  • I am not a human having a spiritual experience, I am a spiritual being having a human experience. Death does not scare me as I know that it is nothing more than another step in my true life ❤️❤️❤️
  • When my mother died, and she was buried, she came to my dream and told me that she has not died. It was so real. She told me that we would communicate from being telepathic with one a another. " I asked for many signs for her to give me, and she always has". Definitely there is life after death,a communications that many people ignore".

Thank you for bringing in two clairvoyants separately, giving more validity to their findings.

I grew up in a haunted house. We were lucky because the spirit that lingered there enjoyed our family. We knew it was a young man who died in the Vietnam War and his parents built the home. One day when my mother was home alone a woman knocked at the front door and introduced herself as the former owner and would love to see the home again. My mother, who is absolutely sweet and kind, invited her in for tea. They had a lovely time walking through the home and chatting. I’m certain that her son enjoyed seeing his mother and my mother having a lovely time. I often would acknowledge him if I heard walking or odd switching of the lights and ask him to please not scare me. He gave our family a sense of protection and we respected him by sharing the space with us.

My Mother passed away almost 9 years ago. People in the family didn’t want me to have anything of hers until I just showed up to watch people literally running out of the house with her things. The sister that told my other sister to not bring me there had the nerve to want a hug from me…..I just couldn’t do it knowing what she said. It took everything I had not to say anything. I did get some things. Things with her writing on them, that they didn’t want, I did, it was her handwriting! I wanted just one thing she wore, one thing she kept close to her something I remember her wearing, they would give me nothing. When they tried to give me a bunch of junk Jewlry that I had never seen, I spotted a charm holder I remember her wearing for a very long time, I took it, it was not given to me. I grieved for years for my mom. I still do, but I know in my heart I will see her again. It took me 6 months to dream of my mom, she was young again, and healthy and vibrant. She also was trying to tell me something that I have yet to understand what she was trying to say, but I will one day. Love and light for your loss, my heart breaks for you. You don’t have to get rid of anything of your daughters! Eventually you will let some things go and keep the things that still have her in them, perfume, a blanket with her smell, a poster she loved. Keep those for ever. Love and light for your grief and for healing. ❤️❤️❤️

Most brilliant advertisement for a thrift shop I’ve ever seen
  • I used to own a grocery store named the A&C Mercantile in Bouse, Arizona. It was built in 1906, eight years before AZ was a atate, and got its name because the original owners didn't know if it was going to be located in Arizona or California. For most of its existence it was the place for townsfolk to come and visit being able to have a cup of coffee, or even a beer, while they shopped. My family bought the store in 1939 and I ran it after my mom died, from 1996 to 2008. My mom used to always talk about the voices that she would hear early in the morning before we opened. When I began running it, I heard those voices too. It was like a small group of people laughing and talking to each other. But when I would go into the main part of the store it would be silent and empty. Both my wife and I witnessed things moving in the store, as well. We got a Ouija board to see if we could make contact, and we did. Several former residents came thru and communicated. My mom even came through several times and when she did I could feel her love. It really helped me cope with her departing. The most fantastic part of my experiences at this store, however, was that those spirits deterred a burglary one night. Three men tried to break into my store in the mid-00's. They were caught and, when questioned by the La Paz County Sheriff's Department, they stated that when they broke the back door halfway down they heard voices yelling at them from inside telling them to get out and saw faces floating towards them in the dark. This scared two of them away, but the third decided to come back. He managed to steal some cigarettes, beer and several scratcher tickets. He was caught when he tried to cash in the winning scratchers in another store. That is how I got the police report with their statements that said floating faces scared them away.
  • I was a nurse aide for 9 years and seen people breathe their last breath . While they are passing away paranormal activity spikes up and from me to other staff ,families . Would say oh my dad seen someone in there room etc . Sometimes it could get dark but worth helping people pass away peacefully

This went from “i bought a table, why would i need sage?” To closing dark portals, real quick!!
  • My grandparents were deeply religious and from the “old Country” (wales). They firmly believed my mother, who was touched by the Lord with a tremendous singing voice, was sensitive to the “other world”, which is what my grandmother referred to the spirit world. My mother spoke to seemingly empty space as a child. Would hold full on conversations, pausing for responses, etc that no one else could hear. Then my mother would look at the adult asking her who she was speaking to like they were crazy, like can’t you SEE the person standing there I’m talking to? As my mother became a teen, these odd behaviors stopped. However…..things happened to her as an adult that were unexplainable. One event: my mother and step-father were in escrow to purchase a very old home across the street from the Golden Gate Park, in San Francisco. One night, late, my mom, who had the keys from the escrow agent, stopped by the home after work to run some dimensions. The house had an open entry, with a 2nd floor balcony that ran along and above the edge of the entry room on both sides, leading to a staircase on one side. Well after my mom had done her measurements, she had to use the bathroom. It was a hall closet bathroom, common in the SF victorian homes of that era. The bath closet had no bulb in it but the light from the hall entry was shining under the closed door, so she was ok with it. As she was sitting there she heard footsteps and a sliding step coming down the hallway. She could see the shadow of the footstep, one foot dragging, as it passed by the bath closet. It stopped for a second, my mom holding her breath the whole while. Then it started up again. She said the sense of foreboding, the deep feeling of terror and devilment couldn’t be ignored. She put herself together and literally ran out of that home, noting that the front door was locked as she left (meaning no human had entered while she was in the bathroom). My parents backed out of purchasing that home, losing $500 in the process, which was a lot of money in the 1970’s, but my mother didn’t even care. She said the heart of that home was dark and evil and we could not even consider living there. In fact it turned her off buying an old home so much, we ended up buying a home in the “newer” community of Lafayette Ca which was a bedroom community outside Berkeley. She stated her sensitivity caused her to be too open to any entities still inhabiting the older homes of San Francisco. Many more stories my mother told me, as she aged. But that was the one I remember the event because of that house we almost lived in.
  • I lived in a hell house with evil for almost 3 years with my 4 children. It'd scream our names, growl, slam doors, lights off & on,footsteps, ripping things off the walls, scratching down walls, cries, black shadow figures. It was day & night everyday. We burned sage, had paranormal investigators,& a Catholic priest to bless it..he left immediately telling me to get my kids & self out of there. But,we put $70k into completely remodeling & building on 3 more bedrooms, another bathroom,&a 40 ft hallway. The house sat for many years rotting..it didn't have any wiring,no flooring,no windows,no cabinets..it was completely gutted & disgusting. It became over a $100k home..we was financially stuck there. After 3 years of hell we left & was homeless for a few months staying with my best friend. That house is cursed & demonic. It's been over 10 years & my kids and I still are haunted by what we went through. My youngest just started sleeping in his own room last year. I pray for anyone living in hell..move out! It doesn't go away or get better. Life is too precious to live in fear.
