Vintage Electric builds some of the coolest electric bikes in the world, right in my home state of California. They sent us two e-Bikes to test: the "throttle-operated" Tracker, and the "pedal assist" Rally. These are handmade items of an incredible quality, and both are incredibly fast - the tracker can cruise at a sustained 34 mph on flat ground.

I did not expect the most butt clenching Smoking Tire video would be on a bike path.

It's funny how you take cars out of the equation, and watch how pedestrians, skaters and cyclist really have bad traffic manners even amongst themselves.

You know what's actually weird? Watching this from halfway around the globe and having a weird realization that there's a whole other group of people in another part of the world living their lives, riding their bicycles, going to the beach, etc. So many times in the videos I just focus on the car and what it's like compared to others, but it's an isolated experience. Thank you for making the video, there's way more conveyed in this than just a bicycle review.

I'm not sure what's more terrifying: going 35mpg on a bicycle with no suspension or navigating this bike path. I love it.

How's the steering feel? How does it compare to an LS swapped pontiac aztek? 0-60? Are aftermarket parts available for this thing, for example I would want to order mine with a turbo, racing stripes, an akrapovic exhaust etc. So many questions.

Anyone else waiting to see a bike towing a log on a chain down the path?

Hey Matt the e-Bike one take is great. Pls some more of that kind :) cheers from Frankfurt Germany.

Just a matter of time before they outlaw those for bike paths. $5k for a bicycle lol

Matt out there putting effort into his ads like no one else. Hustle 💯

I have a custom steel pedal assist e-bike with a 750W mid-drive motor that I built for about $1,500 all in. I would never dream of riding fast on a path like that. Road riding is best.

I recently bought an e-bike kit for my ancient Giant. Cost over a grand but I can cruise at 30 if I want to, beat traffic in many cases (by way of clever routes and no traffic jams) and it’s super fun. It’s called a Bafang BBSHD which is a 1000w hub motor with 17ah battery. Love it and would recommend others to kit out their own 2-wheeled device.

No pops and crackles? You're eating way to healthy...... I actually enjoyd this review. Thinking about getting a e-bike. 5,5km (3,4 miles) to work. So, I could take the bike, but too lazy.

Matt, you should get in touch with the guys at Luna Cycle in El Segundo. They make fast electric bikes that don't weigh 100 lbs, including a fat tire bike called the Apex with full suspension that will blow your mind. Carbon frame, internally geared hub, 2,500W mid-drive, 1,455Wh battery.

I've fallen in love with these after reading about them when they were brought up on podcast. Stoked to see a review on it :)

That's perfect for a truck driver! That way they can get around town where the semi won't fit!

I can't wait for more and more ebikes that push the limits!!
