DIY step-by-step tutorial on how I did my shoulder length butterfly locs without crochet and the easy way to remove them! Get this super neat look without having to use any special tools! FYI I have gotten damage from crochet styles in the past which is why I choose to no longer use that method because it causes extra tension on the scalp and roots. For this style I made 47 butterfly locs, used 6 packs of water wave hair and it took about 4 hours to complete.

One thing to be able to braid like this but to teach it so well literally deserves an Oscar
  • @magzmoney
You know this is the first time someone on YouTube made me feel maybe I can actually do my own hair if I can get tutorials like this. Highly impressed 👏🏾
  • @elw2827
I did this!! My first time doing any braided style. It took me 3 days and several glasses of wine but the end result was worth it...So many compliments...And I am stoked about the money I saved. Thank you soooo much!!❤️
  • @alima3304
"The dislikes are from braiding shops who charge us $300 for this style!"👌👌
  • As a Hairstylist who is growing in my craft, you have been one of the few people I’ve been following for a no. of years. I love your craft , I have been learning✍️ so much from you. Thank you for being you. We love you🫶🏽♥️

Your hair tutorials are by far the most professional on YouTube. You demonstrate each step clearly, the camera angles are always just right, and there are never any unnecessary shenanigans. Also, your voice over method makes for a clean and clear presentation. I've always thought this but regretfully never articulated it in detail. Thank you. ❤

I don’t know what I’m more jealous of 🥺 the fact that your scalp looks so healthy, or that you can part your hair yourself so neatly 😍
  • @liyufkir8351
I tried this out today and let me tell you... I love this. The roots looked so clean and the distressed locks gave such a great vibe although it took me a little more time it was soooo worth it Thank you so much💕
  • Awesome tutorial. I love the way you not only showed how to do the style but started off by showing how to clean the hair. Then you ended it with how to take down the hair. This was the best tutorial I’ve seen. Thank you very much!
  • @mariannemoon
I so love this girl because she doesn’t have an hour long intro and a 2 hour video
  • @funjunk301
You a real one for adding a “removal” part in this video lol. Love this style 🥰
  • @tajewilson
Best butterfly loc tutorial I’ve found. I used this video to do locs on myself and they came out great!
  • Even if it was a thumbs down cause the rubber band thing just say that and still give her a thumbs up for the perfection and how well she explained and showed us dang!!! Stop that negative ish. This lady was awesome and you personally dnt even have to use the rubber bands the style and look is bomb
  • @Blynks_
Why do people click on the dislike botton though? This woman did an amazing job with this butterfly locks and with every other videos she posts,❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
  • @sexyaries9
She explained this so perfectly. It is so hard to find someone to explain the right way and make it easy
  • Best tutorial EVER! I did my locs following this tutorial and I’m soooo pleased with how they came out! Big thanks to you for sharing how to do this! I’ve always been hesitant and turned off by doing hair but this very video got me out the door, to a hair store, and home in the mirror! Unbelievable! I’m ready to do so much more!
