Honda should make you the spokesman for the Goldwing.

Chris this is the first I hear of this Chinese Bike, Goldwing Killer my ass, as soon as you said China I lost interest, mainly cause of the rip-off reputation China has for copying (stealing ideas) products and replicating at a much cheaper price and lower quality, so for that reason alone i would not give this bike a second look or consideration, where a Japanese products are genuine and well built, be it cars, electronics, motorcycles or what have you, Japan has my respect and loyalty....Javi G.
  • The new china bike will not push GW off the top of the list. It may inspire Honda to come up with improvements for the GW.
  • Other bike makers over the years, has always tried to dethrone the Honda Goldwing. To date, no one has been able to match the reputation and reliability NO ONE!! Awesome video Chris. You should be a spokes person for Honda. 👍🏻⭐️🇺🇸

The Chinese have no dealership support in the US.... very important for any brand.
  • Chris That's why I traded up to a Goldwing. And I've never looked back. Fantastic bike. I don't think the new one will take the title from the Goldwing. Great video man.

Chris, to be honest the first time I saw a picture of the Chinese bike, I about flipped my cookie. The photo showed the black and gold color. The reason I was so excited……I thought it was the next Goldwing. Damn it!! China has always been good at copying OUR stuff or in this case, Japans. Those dudes listened to those that voiced their disappointment in those short comings that you listed. Additionally, they took the good parts off almost ALL the good looks and stuff that other bikes have to appeal to everybody. These dudes think they are slick. I’m not buying it.

Customer’s trust of products comes with time. Honda’s track record of performance is legendary. It’s been earned. From personal jet aircraft to Podium winning Formula One engines, MotoGP and Motocross machines to the ultimate long distance touring machine the Honda Gold Wing. Starting with it’s Accords & Civics, the Gold Wing now in it’s 50th needs no introduction. When Indian finally got itself together after several starts and restarts with the vision & stability offered by it’s parent company Polaris has finally found it’s way. I’m sure it’s slapped Harley Davidson out of it’s complacency over many years. However Indian is still in catch up mode with it’s dealership network. A new brand will face major hurdles breaking into a competitive help by iconic brands with track records & proven history. It will need much time to build a dealership network with qualified technical services. Because a warranty is only as good as the paper it’s written on if it’s difficult to be serviced. It would need much time to demonstrate it’s reliability. At the price of these large touring bikes time is paramount to “proof of concept”. Competition is good for everyone. Time in the market is the ultimate truth serum.
  • You’re making great points and hope the biking population listens to reason. You’re honest with your comments.
  • Chris this is my second Honda Goldwing Tour and I can’t find a reason to ride anything else. You are right….as they say you can lay your hat on the Honda Goldwing. Stay safe my brother!
  • No way you spoke what i say to my friends. Very well said be safe out there Cris 😊
  • @lesterabram5546
I am with you Chris, i am sticking with my wings. And my honda vtx 1300.
  • Chris, you know my story because it is my testimony . I have had the pleasure of riding a 1975, 1978, 1998, 2012, and 2023 Goldwing. The 1975 was my Dad’s bike and when I rode it l was hooked !!! Not one of the bikes mentioned ever had a problem. The Goldwing is the best bike on the road !!! However, my favorite generation was the 1500 SE overall. The new bikes are more attractive in their styling and they have the newest technology but for overall comfort and reliability the 1500 SE was the true King of the road in its day….In my opinion!!! I bought my first Goldwing new in 1981. Loved the bike, but sold it and went to Harley back then. Now I'm also an owner of a 2022 Goldwing. I had been a Harley rider/owner for 40 years, but soon after I bought the Goldwing, I sold my 09 Harley Road Glide. The Honda does everything better except make noise and attract girls, but at my age now, that's not a factor in my riding. I do have a small complaint that the Honda is way complicated and difficult to work on, and if something were to go wrong with the DCT or engine, I'd be totally lost and have to pay big bucks to take it to the dealer.

I have a 2024 goldwing man. I had Yamah bikes all my life. I'm 45 years old and finally got what I want . Best bike out right now .All my friends have Harley but can't even compare their bikes all ways in shops

Chris in my book the Honda main messed up is making the Goldwing smaller I have a 2018 Honda Goldwing trike, and I love it to death big bike now in this new bike comes to America. I will get one and the reason is is a big bike . And the liability Honda from cars, motorcycles and engines is not as good as they used to be I am from Chesapeake Virginia if I’m correct, not too far from storm chaser. Hope to meet up with him and you this year.
