My cats, Mimi and Nathaniel don't like to be separated. Mimi saw her boyfriend outside and she wanted to be united with him. I started filming when I heard Nathaniel scratching the door. This is a rare moment when Nathaniel was missing Mimi (and not just the other way around) and he wanted to be closer to her.

This is a True Cat Love Story with ups and downs, quarrels and make ups and the intricacy of true cat romance. My cats love each other, but Nathaniel is still dealing with intimacy issues and he is not ready to cuddle and snuggle with Mimi yet. Mimi on the other hand is head over heals in love with Nathaniel and wants to be as close to him as possible, which often scares Nathaniel so he runs away from her. But Mimi knows that True Cat Love will prevail and she doesn't give up on charming Nathaniel and cuddling with him in a big bundle of black fur.


A lot of people commented about how they look like twins! And they really do, however, they are not related. In fact we adopted Nathaniel when we lived in England and Mimi is from the US. We already had Nathaniel for a few years when we moved to the US. One day I saw a photo of Mimi and my heart melted. So much so that I squeaked in my office so loudly that all my colleagues checked on me if I was OK :D. Mimi looked like Nathaniel's twin sister!!! When I learnt that she had been in a shelter for 6 months and she was still waiting to be adopted I knew I wanted to rescue her. We adopted her that very weekend!

Background Story

I have two black cats, Mimi and Nathaniel. Both went through a tough time before we rescued them. Both of my cats are seniors now and although they look the same, they are not related. They were both incredibly shy when we adopted them, but they've come a long way in the past few years and they became good friends.
They love doing all sorts of silly things that cats usually do. And more... :) They're also trying to work out their special Cat Romance in which Nathaniel friend-zoned Mimi, but Mimi's ever-lasting, unrequited love will burn forever.
I hope my cat videos will show how lovely and sweet black kitties are and will help diminish some of the still existing prejudices against them. Black cats have a real difficult time getting adopted and they have a higher chance of getting euthanized.
They all deserve a chance.
