I can thank my dearly departed mother for introducing me to all of these timeless songs. She would always sing "Nights in White Satin" to me, as a Lullaby.

True Story: I grew up in a very small town in Iowa, USA in the early 1990s (pre-internet) A group of friends and I heard "Fire" by The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown at a County Fair and we immediately loved it! Over the course of several hours at the fair, the song played three times (all songs were likely on a cassette tape which was switched over at the end of play) but nobody working the event knew anything about the song other than the name was "Fire" I have NEVER HEARD the song since, and had completely forgotten about it. Fast forward to LITERALLY NOW and not only have I received the answer to my 35 year old question, but I now have 4 phone calls to make! Thank You WMUK!
  • The Rolling Stones were never as interesting again without Brian Jones.
  • I wasn’t born in the 60’s. Was born in 75 but my dad was always listening to music and it influenced me and my music choices and listening. So he was listening to strawberry fields when he was a teen and then I listened to the Candy flip version in the 90’s. I was wearing flares for a bit, as he was in the 60’s. These are all great tracks and goes to show, what goes around, comes back around. Now at nearly 50, I’m seeing it happen again. Life is a cycle and it’s amazing. Much love everyone 👍🏻❤️

When you realize that these are some of the greatest songs ever made. Love the shoutout to The Zombies!
  • Nah, how the hell has Cream’s White Room not gotten into this list?! Null and void!
  • @lostnthenoise
I think this should have been a top 20 list to add such songs as The Creations' :How Does It Feel" and Traffics "Hole In My Shoe".
  • @Traillblazer
Pictures of Matchstick Men by Status Quo should have made the list.

I am glad that the moody blues are in the top ten with nights in white satin, and the other 8 groups have been put in the top ten, brilliant

This is a fun video. I’d love to see a follow-up on American psychedelic running concurrently.

Absolutely superb; thank you. From The University of Crete.
  • You forgot the third psych track the Beatles released in 1967, I Am The Walrus.
  • @batgurrl
Excellent list. Hard to to beat Strawberry Fields forever ☮️🙏🏼🌈
  • Nights in white satin and wider shade of pale are too soft to be psychedelic
