It never ceases to amaze me the amount of young men who just throw their life away in a stupid situation like this.

The officer that said "I got EMS coming" is a true professional. For those that don't understand how these Officers are not robots, and how hard it is to go from 0 to 100 when you getting shot, then bring it back down to render aid, is just something many will never understand how hard and human impossible this is. God bless these officers

Wow. The fact the officers maintained professionalism while rendering first aid to the guy who was just shooting at them ,says alot. Good job PD!

I love watching the same situation play out through the different perspectives of the body cameras. It's a story telling technique you don't see too often.

And yet those officers still rendered aid to the suspect who was tried and was willing to kill them.

Why in the world were those other people walking around? I would think gun fire would make you hide, duck down and stay out of the way. The Officers did a perfect job considering the other distractions.

It’s insane how they go from shootout for their lives to saving the life of a man who a second ago would have snatch them away from their families forever. Truly, God bless our officers

Image saving the life of someone you just got a gunfight with. Shooting at you and try to kill you. Being a cop is a crazy job. RESPECT!

Officer Garcia displayed true professionalism. To go from being shot at to actually shooting the suspect and then offering medical attention right away. You did it by the book in real time and showed compassion when it was needed. The assisting officers were very professional, as well. Kudos Garcia..

the way the officer reassured him at the end by saying "hey we got ems... hey... we got ems coming alright??" almost seemed like the officer completely forgot about this guy just shooting at him, and his mind was only focused on making sure this guy got the help and care he needed... thats a TRUE officer right there...

Amazing. In mere moments switch from attempts on their very lives with the power and intimidation of a shotgun to saving and reassuring the criminal that tried to kill them. Absolutely incredible control of emotional response. I don't think I could do that given the situation.

The amount of patience, empathy and energy of kindness to treat the wounds and calm the shot suspect, telling him EMS is on the way, after he shot at them with a shotgun amazes me. I probably would be like "if he dies, he dies".
