I love proper old V8 Mustangs, always have! Buying one feels insane. What do you think of this 1968 Mustang Fastback GT? The 302 engine sounds unreal, big revs, accelerations, tunnel runs and launches. Should I change the exhaust? The bonus to this purchase is the car that came free with it! Enjoy, Legends.

'68 Mustang is nice daily šŸ‘Œ There is nothing like a British and French guys driving an American muscle car yelling, "Yee Hah!" and then driving thru a Canadian fast food joint ordering shakes.
  • @punklizard21
A 302 is actually the iconic 5.0L, while the 289cui V8 is the 4.7L. Either way - I do feel envy of your Mustang. And, I'll never ever try to debate bicycle stats with you... because, well, riding bikes is just more fun that paying that close of attention. Enjoy the ride!

The fucking accents in the drive thru šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚
  • @Hodad3000
Geez Ben, that was a respectable Yee-Haw for a frenchman. You were really feeling it.
  • Wow. Fast backs are hard to find even in America. Pricey too! Congrats. I still have my 1969 Firebird 400 from high school. Thereā€™s just something special about classic muscle from the 60s. Shortcomings and all they just have soul that new vehicles donā€™t have.

Lol As a Canadian I am loving that the most American thing they could do was find a Tim Hortons!

I owned that car for 6 1/2 years! It actually came in to the UK in Feb 2016 from Marrieta, a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia. I loved that car, but I could not get my wife, daughter and dog in to it, so it had to go. When I first got it, it had an exhaust on it, that was so quiet that your granny couldā€™ve driven it. However, I got a stainless steel exhaust put on it, and eventually had the engine rebuilt, and great cost, to make that lovely sound it has today. When I win the lottery, I will make you an offer to buy it back, but until that time, look after it and I hope you really enjoy it

The ape is pronounced apay (like away but with the accent on the first a) and means bee. Piaggio is based in the town where I work and has some fantastic mtb around the area. They have just had the vespa (which means wasp) 10 year anniversary and it was cool to see them from everywhere. British School Pontedera, come and visit us, the locals will show you the time of your life, bring your bikes because we have some lovely trailsā€¦

Beautiful car man! Just a heads up, if they told you itā€™s a 4.7L, thatā€™s because the 289ci V8 came in the 1968 Mustang not the 302! Many have been swapped to a 302 over the years though!

Matt... all love to you and Ben mate. Let's not forget the Jamie. Cracking team you've built. I think you bringing these dudes in and expanding the possibilities has just blew the channel up and I for 1 just love watching because of that. You helped me through covid where I lost family and ill always be grateful. Its a pleasure to watch you thrive while being humble and thankful to the industry that's help make what you do possible. Wishing you the best.

That "throaty" American Muscle sound when you first started the Mustang .... yeah, that's IT! ā¤... I owned a 1971 Chevy Camaro that sounded just like that. This is by far my favorite car you've had. Congrats! ... Ben's "YEEHAAAA" was epic! šŸ¤£
  • @chrisjohal118
The amount of accents Ben went through in the drive-thru is hilarious šŸ˜‚

I didnt know you were in to classics! if you are ever on the east coast in America it would be awesome to give you a tour of the shop i work at, and take you for a drive in some very fast, and modernized classics we have built! We call them "restomods" over here. We rebuild the rusty bodies from the ground up, stick high performance chassis under them, big horspower v8s, and beautiful high quality interiors!! We have a dyno cell on sight and everything. You're legitimately welcome anytime! My bosses and myself are all into mtbs as well! Love your content
  • Do not change the exhaust Keep it as original as possible. Dont be "that guy" -- as an owner of the same car (black) SICK!
  • Perfect two car garage? Nailed it! BTW the Italian pronunciation of Ape is "Ahhpay" meaning Bee, just like Vespa means Wasp! :)
