    Honourable mentions: 90s = Jagr and Yzerman, 2000s = Joe Sakic, 2010s = Ovi, 80s = Stastny, 70 = Lafleur
  • @stratovani
Bobby Orr dominated the first half of the 70s, and Guy Lafleur dominated the second half of the 70s.

Reminder that Howe only had 2 Gordie Howe hat tricks

50 goals in 50 games is tough on its own, but NO ONE will ever come close to Gretzky's 50 goals in 38!!

Crosby's career winding down? He just finished the 23-24 season with 94pts, and he is 36 years old, so Id say his production did not diminish. The guy is just as a good as ever. He is not as fast on his skates as he used to be, but he makes up for it with his superior hockey IQ.

Although the picks were predictable, I couldn't agree more.
  • @klimovec
60s - honorable mention: Stan Mikita
  • You Nailed this list. Im an Ovi guy and I couldnt disagree with your 2000's and 2010's
  • @ScottD768
Ray Bourque is more than an honorable mention. He played most of his career in the Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux eras as a defenseman. Yes, that made a difference in those eras.

Its a fair list. 90's and 2000's is real tough..So many greats. Yet I think its hard to argue Mario and Lidstrom.

Nice list. One correction at 5:26: Maurice Rocket Richard's state funeral was held on the year 2000, not 1998. Specifically on Wednesday May 31st 2000. I was there; working just beside the church (La Basilique Notre-Dame de Montréal). I had never seen the place so crowded. It was packed with thousands of emotional and frenzied fans. I remember seeing people mounted on street lamps, holding placards with love messages to the deceased idol. The crowd was chanting "Rocket! Rocket!". It was an unbelievable moment. One to remember forever. The deli restaurant I was working for made a record revenue that day. Thank you for the posted video.
  • Henri Richard (The Pocket Rocket), a name he hated apparently... Mike Bossy.

howie morenz was not the 1st player to score 40 goals in a season. joe malone did so in the very 1st nhl season when he scored 44 goals
  • @canden-t7w
:trophy-yellow-smiling: Other great hockey players Guy Lafleur, Paul Coffey, Prad Park. Bobbly Hull had a great hockey career in both the NHL and WHA.

This was a very well research video. Thank you. I wonder if you condo a best defensive players from each decade. You can even separate defensemen and forwards.
  • @Skroskznik
I'd swap the Howe and Richard placements, their teams were better in their decades respectively too
