The new Sub-Zero skin for Mortal Kombat 11 was recently released, and, it hasn't been well received. The motion capture and voice were provided by successful DJ, Dimitri Vegas and not a known voice actor.
In this video we will have a listen to Dimitri Vegas' version of the game dialogue and Steve Blum's version. Steve being the regular voice for the character.
"Dimitri Vegas remixed the iconic Mortal Kombat theme song. The remix was predominantly showcased in the Mortal Kombat 11 Launch Trailer, released this past April. Dimitri also created an original music track titled “You’re Next,” which was featured in the first Mortal Kombat 11 Gameplay Reveal Trailer in January 2019"

I understand that Dimitri Vegas isn't a Voice Actor so his work here had a high porcentage of not sound good. It would be competent of Netherealms Studios to asked for Steve Blum to give Dimitri some acting advices and maybe following Dimitri as they did the recordings, that's what happens when you give a VA job to someone who have minimun to zero (or I would say sub-zero lel) experience on the area.

I cringe horribly at every word that comes out of the Dimitri Vega voiceover; his voice acting...... it’s that seriously bad. What’s amazing is that the majority of fans are asking for Sub-Zero’s Shredder look from MK Deception, and Warner Bros. decides to give us this Tron like skin with by far the worst voice acting I have ever heard in my entire life!!!! All because he did some great music for the launch trailer; I’ll admit though, the classic theme was awesome
