This is the line as it looks today. No more level crossings are planned to be removed, but some of these single track sections will be duplicated.

Magic! Having moved back home to Melbourne, now my line... Really appreciate the signal interpretations: quite bizarre! 🤔

Platform 3 in Macleod is where the train terminates.

Thanks for the vid ...brings back some good memories when I lived in Melbourne .
  • Lots of good memories there! My Grandad used to be the Station Master at Eltham, waaaay back in the 1940's.

Wow, a trestle bridge! @ 34:45 They got rid of the last of those in Sydney in 1989. Melbourne is so full of "history"!!
  • love these so much, would love to see comeng cab rides hopefully since theyre being replaced in the upcoming years :)

Pleased to ride in Melbourne trains compare to Brisbane trains. The announcements are minimal in Melbourne . In Brisbane they are overwhelming irritable & long with both auto and guard making duplicate announcements, one following the other, The volume is super high so even with head phones and music going , it is impossible to block out. I now often catch the bus to get some respite.

The tunnel after Heidelberg is a vast improvement and should have really been done before 2018. 😬
  • Thought this trip a bit slow. Could see some of the platforms needed attention as well. I know I have done this trip before maybe the other way?

I think you got all of the electrified lines now! Any plans for a drivers view to Stony Point? That would be a first on YouTube.

wait I didn't know that the Hurstbridge line ran express trains!

more excellent viewing as i've come to expect. just at the bottom of the screen at 0:35, is that an important piece of railway infrastructure or a kindly donated piece of unloved concrete?

Only time I've ever used Wattle Glen station was when I was playing baseball out there one day. We'd finished and I was walking back to the station when a train actually rattled along. I took off for the station. Luckily the driver must have seen me cause we waited a good 30 seconds for me. Thanks Driver. :)

Who is responsible for the upkeep of the Melbourne Stations, so many of them look run down compared to Sydney?

I love xtraps but I just don't like the ride on them. It's like as if you're driving a corvette
  • @YuvrajHanspal
That thing on the glass, it's too darn distracting!!!
