Warframe: 1999 is both a continuation of the Origin System's epic cinematic narrative and the start of an entirely new way to play. Featuring characters, enemies, weapons and vehicles that are both thrilling and strangely familiar, this is Warframe like you've never experienced it before.
Scheduled to launch on all platforms in Winter 2024, Warframe: 1999 begins where last year's Whispers in the Walls update left off — with the search for Albrecht Entrati. You aren't the only one looking for him, however, as the Protoframes who call themselves "The Hex" have their own scores to settle. Navigate your relationships with them via an all-new romance system, vibe to the smooth harmonies of sensational boy-band On-lyne, combat a militaristic new enemy faction, and bask in the imminent arrival of the long-awaited "Infested Lich" system known as Technocyte Coda.

since proto Nyx and Excal are siblings here, I hope on later story updates Volt and Gauss are related or rivals at the least (with how Gauss works in origin system, I'm betting the dude's gonna be high like Octane while having jet boosters strapped to him)

This the reason I can’t play the descendent. Warframe is just different. Say what you want but this game has come a long way 10+ years and the developers are always adding content and evolving the game without changing the games core. I cannot wait for this update. Straight fire. Salute to the developers for all the work and effort they do behind the scenes to still make this game relevant and free to play.
