If we stopped racism, people might talk to each other and see what the real problem is. Greedy people. - Richard Pryor Sums it ALL up in one comment. The same goes for war, hunger, homelessness, poverty, pollution etc.

When he’s not doing a bit and actually being serious he’s so soft spoken, but every bit as impactful.

Richard knew his stuff. He hit the nail on the head and didn't take a boring two hour speech to do it.

The interviewer did a great job. He asked the right questions and listened to his answers.

This interview is spot on. In today's American society, people are overwhelmed with debt just trying to survive. Keep a person in debt and you keep that person quiet. Most Americans aren't going to make waves and stand up for what's right when they are 1 paycheck away from loosing everything.

“You can’t talk about solving the economic problem of the Negro without talking about billions of dollars. You can’t talk about ending the slums without first saying profit must be taken out of slums. You’re really tampering and getting on dangerous ground because you are messing with folk then. You are messing with captains of industry. Now this means that we are treading in difficult water, because it really means that we are saying that something is wrong with capitalism.” -MLK, 1966

It’s crazy that the issues he’s speaking about still exist 50 years later...R.I.P. Richard Pryor

I'm convinced that our best comedians are naturally profound thinkers. Pryor in the 70s and 80s, and Chappelle in the 2000s-now.
