Instead, E-Biking Today's research, writing, and videos are supported by getting a small percentage of your purchase from bike accessories and e-bike brands. Brands sometimes provide their ebike products for independent review and testing. They don't tell me what to say or do. Instead, my opinions and comments are based solely on my evaluation and test rides. I generally conduct a speed test and power test and report the pros and cons based on my ride experience.

My parents surprised me with an order for one of these for christmas when i mentioned looking into e bike. This thing looks majorly convinent for people who dont want to buy or use a bike rack on their car, or dont have a lot of space. But dont want to sacrifice much in the way of power or quality.

The easily accessible battery is a HUGE improvement over the Lectric...

Where is the first place you'd take your folding e-bike?!
  • Excellent review, very helpful. I especially liked your comments regarding the value of having a front suspension when you found out that having a locked out suspension was so firm riding. Also am impressed with your responsiveness to the comments. These folding ebikes with the straight across handlebars seem like they would be awkward to ride because they look like they pull you forward in an unnatural riding position. Do you find that to be true and if so, would you recommend aftermarket handlebars to improve riding comfort? Thanks.

I'm 5'4 and need to commute 4 miles to work on mostly throttle, some hills involved My current regular bike takes me 45 minutes and I'm exhausted upon arrival Any recommendations?

Is there any other e-bike folding or not that you would recommend over this one at the SAME price point? Colorado residents are getting a $450 credit towards e-bikes starting Monday and this is top of my list as I was looking to be out of pocket about $500-600. Thanks!!!

Now that the Lectric XP 3.0 ships with hydraulic brakes, which do you feel is a better option?
  • @GillanJaime
Cant seem to find any pics or reviews with child passenger. Any opinion on how comfortable it would be for a 9 year old on the back? Looks like the seat slightly overhangs the rear rack compared to lectric 3.0

What do you mean pre-load? And seat bottoming out? Im a short, heavier woman but way less than weeight limit .. do you mean my seat may drop as I ride? BTW, I have the same van ..but dogs...
  • @sly592
    Does it have hydraulic brakes??

I really want one of these but I've read their customer service is not so great.
