  • "Doctors who smoked had 30% less incidense of parkinson's and dementia" "Yeah because they died of 10 different diseases beforehand" Absolute gold 😂😂
  • @BunniBeshara
The fact that a doctor sent a cease and desist because another doctor wouldn’t allow their dangerous claims to be made unchecked is wild.
  • I love how when Dr. Mike asks how he is wrong, the other guy just says "You are wrong." without answering the question. It reminds me of when you ask a parent a question and they respond with "Cause I said so."
  • @dg4262
writing a cease and desist to stop someone from publicizing what you publicly said is a smart move.
  • So this guy voluntarily goes on Dr. Mike’s podcast, they disagree, and then he demands Mike take the show down? Can’t handle the heat I guess.
  • @MrMcCoffee
"Because they die from 10 other diseases beforehand" can't argue with that
  • See this is why I follow Doc Mike, he acknowledges that he makes mistakes, but he ensures that he corrects them so the rest of us don't go living with misinformation
  • @blwssme
The “they die of other diseases beforehand” was so real. Like— if you’re smoking, you’re probably going to end up dying before you have the time to get either of those if you do it enough.
  • @Jpanda16
Dear lawyers: Doctor Mike did not say "dr.gundry advocated that smoking makes you live longer." No, instead Dr. GUNDRY did that all by himself. 🤦‍♀️
  • @dpear3
Imagine building a career on spouting misinformation, then sending a cease and desist when someone posts a video of you spouting misinformation (mostly).
  • @carlyar5281
Dr. Mike, my 13-year-old son watches your channel and I am so very grateful that you are pushing back on medical misinformation because our kids are watching. I’ve enjoyed watching YouTube channel for number of years and this episode might be my favourite BECAUSE you are not being bullied or silenced by a quack. He’s trying to scare you with a cease and desist letter, because he’s a bully and doesn’t want to be held responsible for his own words. Thank you for standing up. We’ve got your back!

My mom, who smoked before I was born and most of my youth, quit off and on and finally gave them up for good when I was in my 20s. She didn't develop Parkinsons or dementia... because she developed lung cancer and died at age 62. My father, who also smoked as long as my mother, didn't develop Parkinsons or dementia... he had a triple bypass at age 36, dealt with numerous angioplasties and other procedures, and died at age 62 - a year before my mom - from pneumonia related to his existing health issues. And both of them had QUIT smoking over a decade before. It wasn't enough. Smoking kills. Period. It directly stole my mother from me. It was one of multiple factors that took my father.
  • @cshope2
He thrives off being controversial. It's obvious. He is the person that everyone hates because he's the "devil's advocate".
  • @Kevin-pf2ig
"Because they die from 10 other diseases before." Damn, savage.
  • @kittimfh
It's crazy that a doctor ignored that correlation does not mean causation. I got my bachelor's and that was emphasized in SO MANY classes. That man has his doctorate, he KNOWS this. What a tool. I'm so glad Dr. Mike makes complex subjects approachable.
  • @Mr.allanbrito
Lawyers: cease and desist Mike: I'll post the whole thing again LOVE IT
  • The "you're wrong" argument without providing any real proof otherwise, isn't an argument. It's disagreeing for the sake of disagreeing.
  • As someone who’s smoked since I was about 12, I can tell you that the majority of people who do smoke will tell you not to even start because of all the health risks that come with it. What that other “doctor” is doing is devious and reprehensible, all for the sake of views and clicks. He knows what he’s doing. He knows what he’s saying. He just doesn’t care until someone pushes back or lets him hand himself with his own words. Good on Mike for calling him out on his bullshit.
  • @thefun1711
Admitting you're wrong is an under-appreciated quality, that many people need to learn. It's one of the reasons I trust Dr. Mike so much, because he has corrected himself, and uses research to explain his beliefs.
