About The Carol Burnett Show
While there’s no truth to the rumor that “CBS” ever stood for The Carol Burnett Show, for eleven seasons and 278 episodes, this star-studded extravaganza of sketch comedy, song and dance became entertainment central for the network and TV viewers. Burnett operated in a relaxed theater setting that allowed her to take questions, cut loose with her famous Tarzan yell and join fellow performers Harvey Korman, Tim Conway, Vicki Lawrence and Lyle Waggoner to have a laugh or sing a song. The show received 25 Emmy Awards and eight Golden Globes, making it one of the most honored shows in television history.

Tim Conway was absolutely beyond comparison. He had literally no peers when it came to his literally infinite comedic talents. And Harvey and the Burnett Show actors were about the only ones who could work well alongside of him, other than Don Knotts perhaps. There were funny comedians like Morey Amsterdam and Rickles and whomever else who could get the laughs. But there was no approaching Tim. Carol was really fortunate, and she knew it, to have Tim around for most of the 11 years of her show, and that he helped make the show into what it became (and still IS!) During that time, he had his own shows that (as he freely admitted) never lasted more than 13 weeks because they just never worked out. People wanted to see him with the Burnett Show people, and not on his own. He also later admitted that his time on Carol's show was the highest point in his career.

Love, love, love Carol, Tim and Harvey!!! What a comedy team they were. The show didn't use foul language, sex or women half naked to draw popularity of the show. Instead it was straight up comedy for the family!!!
  • Tim breaks Harvey, Harvey breaks Tim (and also breaks himself), and then Carol comes along and breaks both of them. It's kinda fun seeing them break, as it makes you feel a certain connection to them as an audience.

The choreography is always so great especially being rehearsed so quickly
  • 😂😂😂 I really needed to see this tonight. Everything was so funny. and loved all of the dancing. I love all the shows, this is one of the many favourites.
  • Oh my God I love the skits. They're funny as hell. But I love when the actors can't help but crack up during them. Because it is just too funny
  • I have watched the dog sketch with Tim Conway so many times & always find it so funny. The dentist sketch is a very close winner. They were all so great
  • The dog sketch is really brilliant satire. Well written, and the sofa is fantastic.
  • Harvey Korman can't hold a straight face when Tim Conway gets started!

Pat Carroll was a great actress. She's great in everything. For some reason she reminds me of Reta Shaw.
  • That dog comedy made me p**! 🤣🤣🤣The bloopers were hysterical! I'm dying!

Having seen little mermaid, but not knowing of Pat Carol, this was a great and memorable way to see how talented she is.

Tim Conway cracking Harvey Korman was a staple of the Carol Burnett Show. But I don't think I've ever seen Carol break both of them WITH THE SAME BIT THAT TIM HAD JUST DONE!
