Once again my friend you knocked it out of the park!! You really should make a mob TV show with all your knowledge it would rival The sopranos and boardwalk empire

  • Nice job telling Nicky’s story. I’ve heard it many times before but somehow you managed to include facts I’ve never heard before.

I'm a nothing and Nicky Barnes probably wouldn't even remember me, but I remember an aloof and disciplined leader. Very intelligent, quiet, and in complete command. His network broke boundaries with huge success. He wasn't a bully.

This was in my youth-era. My family was associated with one of Nicky's associates named Leroy that owned my Uncle and Cousin's garage on Audbon next to the Bridge Apartments @ the George Washington Bridge, where I spent most of my summers 1975-1983. I love your work Bruh! Brings back crazy memories. #Salute

This is one of the best channels that do biographies of gangsters that I have ever come across! The narrating is Superb And all the information that you come across On all of these videos are very accurate and intelligently laid out. This channel should have several million subscriptions in my opinion!!!

Word Up! I'm delighted that you're continuing to develop as a true organized crime historian! Excellent job on the research, narration, and photos on an OG like Leroy "Nicky" Barnes! He was a legend in NYC as one of the most influential crime bosses during the heyday of gangsterism in the 1970s. Nicky Barnes was a thug who created an organization of murderous, capable, and intelligent Black men along the same structure as Cosa Nostra. I would love to see a QUALITY biopic about this legendary New York gangster! His memoir by Tom Folsom was great, and I highly recommend it to any student on the subject of organized crime. Big props my brother! You've been doing a fantastic job. I would love to see a video on the Jones Brothers and Ted Roe of Chicago as well in the future. There are too many people who believe that gangsterism is only limited to men of European descent.
  • Good stuff man. I knew the Nicky Barnes story but you had details I had never heard of before. You did your homework for sure.
  • @imilliemedina666
Great research as always. Larry Rolla did a good video of his involvement with the Barnes outfit. You might find it interesting.

I remember when Nicky Barnes name was so respected in the streets. And then when he turned states evidence it was so unbelievable for a hot minute. But folks who knew those who he gave up explained it clearly to us.

Thumbs up brotha. Bravo. You nailed it. Mr. Barnes is my favorite and I feel you did him justice with this video.

This was a great break down on the rise, and fall of Nicky" Barnes, but you need to do one on (William Terrell Gold Finger). I didn't know what the guy look like til this video.
