Electric car maker Tesla is looking to make an entry into the Indian market later this year. Tesla’s Founder Elon Musk is expected to visit India soon – and meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Musk is expected to announce Tesla’s plans for investment in India during the visit. Ahead of the announcement, Chinese mouthpiece – the Global Times has published an assessment about India’s EV market – terming it “immature” and “underdeveloped”. Both Tesla and Apple entered India AFTER their sales started declining globally, and they started facing competition in China, and they were in search for new market. Never forget that. India was never their priority and both underestimated India for far too long.
