The most important things is to ask God to show you a sign. I had god show me in a dream that a guy was married. Another guy sent me an abusive type of text 3 mins after I prayed to God. God spoke from another’s person mouth to tell me that the person that reached out to me didn’t change. God knows the person true colors. Ask and he will show you.

Gut feeling is a real one. The Holy Spirit will prompt you relentlessly

Trust in the Lord and don't lean on your own understanding.

I recently went on a date and I felt like I had a connection with this guy, it was a good date. After the date, I prayed about the guy and I said, "God if this person is supposed to have a part in my life, keep him on my mind. Otherwise, if you feel this guy has no place in my life, remove him from my brain." The next day I had ZERO thoughts of this guy, I took that as God telling me that this guy was not meant for me.

I was talking to a guy and he seemed on the same page about biblical views/principals... BUT, when we got on the topic of premarital sex, he was like "well if I'm horny.. whatever happens, happens.. *lol*.." And I'm like uh.. no dude.. not cool. The Bible is clear on what the boundaries are before marriage . .. I'm not ok with your morals not aligning with mine... So now, I'm like, thank you, next!

I had all the signs and still went ahead. God gave me a very strong gut feeling in December last year. I ignored and finally God used my mother as an angel to help me see the light and realise I was in the wrong thing. I am out and now working on myself with the Lord.

6. There's a difference between helping someone through hard times, and being a crutch. Sometimes people need to take responsibilities for their struggles themselves before they depend on you for constant support. When the person resorts to you as their lifeline instead of looking to God and at themselves, that's when you know the relationship isn't quite healthy.

I dated an awesome man of God who fully respected me, was kind, generous and just all round good guy(I have nothing negative on this dude). But while we were dating I couldn’t shake off the feeling that it wasn’t meant to continue. There was a small part of me wanting to ignore that I wasn’t feeling the peace and joy because he was my very first boyfriend and that maybe if I persevered we’d come over the hump. But in love and respect we ended it and turned out it was mutual and the peace that came over me when I actioned the obvious was so freeing. I just had that gut feeling. I’m very blessed that the dating period was full of respect, prayer and Jesus because it made moving on a lot easier.
