Heyo. I really apologize for just how infrequent uploads have been for the past... idk... 2 years now? It's really been getting to me over the past few months, and I am making a serious effort to get back to regularly scheduled content. My goal is once every 2 weeks, if not more. I appreciate absolutely all of you who return to watch the content that we put out, and I hope to have more regularly scheduled content for you from this point forward! Life's a grind, and YouTube is a grind that I want and need to return to. Thanks!

At this point gta 6 is gonna come out before the minecraft movie💀

Movies based on video games have often been pretty bad, but if they stick to the concept of "just a story set in Minecraft", and lean in to Jack Black's talented wackiness, this could end up being a fun movie. Minecraft is a silly, and fairly absurd, game. As long as the movie doesn't take itself too serious, it has the potential to be a solid movie.
  • Until I see an actual trailer, I refuse to believe this movie actually exists.

I just can’t understand why it’s live action. Minecraft animations look so incredible and they’d fit perfectly in a movie. Like a better story mode Edit: If you want an example of what I think would be great, look at “Songs of War”, it’s great!

I still can’t really imagine what a Live Action Minecraft Movie will look like. That being said Jared Hess is an excellent choice for director. His absurdist humor and directing style is exactly what I’d want from a movie like this.

How they should make the movie is just like "The Lego Movie" where you are seeing the world through the imagination of a young teenager playing the game. Who would be the bad guy? Herobrine of course, he has always been a part of minecraft myth and has been a fan favorite that has never been a offical villan.

With Jack black playing Steve, my theory is it could maybe be a film adaptation of ‘the island’

I actually got to interview an artists who worked on Robs minecraft movie. I can summarize what he told me -Visual look was similar to the Mandalorian (I don't know how but that's what he said 🤷‍♂) -Lots of effects and massive sets were built -Chloe Grace Mortez was going to play the main character, Steve Careel would play a wizard of Oz type character, and even Charlie Day had a small role -The Villagers were used as comic reliefs. They were not Dumb per say but kinda clueless. Similar to Stimpy from ren and stimpy -Magicians worked on the film as consultants to show the crew how they could do the craft effects -Humor was not as raunchy as its always in Philadelphia. Sort of 80s inspired with the story and humor -Story was a mix of the goonies, and wizard of Oz. Bunch of kids get sent to the minecraft world where wacky hijinks ensue -BIG focus on action -Very ambitus with its size and scale If anyone has further questions, feel free to ask :)

I actually hope the Minecraft movie has actual effort and is actually similar to the original game. I don’t want the movie to have a lot of negative reviews just because of lack of effort tbh.

4:33 Reminds me of the DnD movie (Honor Among Thieves). It's a story about something that could have been a DnD game, and not a part of the story for the forgotten realms. At least that is how I understood it.
  • I honestly still cant imagine a live action film for Minecraft. I feel like it seems off due to the fact that one of Minecraft's best features is the fact that its blocky; that's what makes it work. But i feel like making it live action is making it seem like a generic survival experience rather than the blocky game were used to. Now that's not to say that its gonna be bad, but that's just my thoughts on it.

I think my favorite thing “about” the Minecraft movie is “Pedro pascal being Steve”. If you didn’t know it started as a meme and then a content creator decided to see if they can push the meme to its limits, and that he did and tricked IMDB into putting him into the cast list
  • @Arkay315
If I was in charge of casting I would cast Danny Devito and weird Al.
  • @LloydGodOfVoid
yeah I'd heard about it but had no idea if it was actually going to come out

Glad to see you uploading again! Was just recently thinking about you, wondering how things were and if we'd get to enjoy your take on content creation anytime soon. Funny that you've delivered so quick after hoping to see your videos again. Take care of yourself, and look forward to more videos!

I hope the Minecraft movie turns out good but one thing you forgot to mention is that’s it’s live action which worries me.
