That poor taxi cab looked like it just came from the junk yard lol time it got to Egypt poor curly he has the best lines 😂😂

I had this whole episode memorized when I was a kid back in the 60s😊 during the summer we watch The Three Stooges on a daily basis🤗

Moe: "For science!...". Larry: "For science!...". Curly "For $5,000!...".

that was a real alligator, it flinched when curly patted it.

1939 really started out strong for The Three Stooges, releases two of my favorite shorts back to back. We Want Our Mummy is a very entertaining short, with so many memorable moments. The fact that they apparently take a taxi all the way to Egypt is absolutely ridiculous, and the craziness continues from there. The main set makes for a spooky atmosphere, with a lot of fun shenanigans that follow. Topping it off with Curly posing as what they believe to be the most valuable mummy is very amusing, especially how he blows his cover. It's a plus that they succeed, even though the ending is pretty abrupt. Still, it really stands out amongst their filmography and is a major highlight to me. Where it ranks for me: #5

To save money on speaking parts, you'll occasionally hear Moe in their films doing voice overs. At 4:51 Moe is the radio announcer and at 9:10 he's "The Echo".

Between both taxi rides they're not making any money 😂

"Turn me loose. I want to be free"...Look through the slapstick humor, and a lot of the jokes and punchlines are very clever and even profound at times.
