This podcast is a little different than the norm. With late season elk hunts on the horizon, the guys take a look at everything Chris Porter is bringing on his upcoming rifle elk hunt. Porter is the ultimate planner, and while he has a dialed plan of attack for the gear he's taking, Lorenzo and Brady give him some much needed advice. They do a full gear dump and offer ideas on were he could potentially improve.

Did we all forget about Brady wiping his tookus with his hand in Tajikistan?? Just saying maybe we need to up it to 2 ounces of TP

This was great. I enjoy doing this with my buddies before a hunt to get additional opinions.

Great Job Brady Lorenzo and Porter I really enjoy the new format. It's so great to see friends working to help each other on gear and ideas because there more then one way to do it. Can you put the brand in sub titles like your gear drops. God's Blessings to you all

Been killing critters for many years with glasses on, glassing through binos with glasses on, etc. Glasses get wet or a little dirty, use cleaning cloth. No worries.
  • Love the gear dump videos. I also have enjoyed the podcasts you’ve done with the various camera guys that work with GoHunt and how the dynamics work between hunter & camera guy. I’d be really interested to see a similar video for a pack dump/set up for some of those camera guys and how their layering and gear list differs from y’all’s.

I do the campos. Mine is electrolytes on one side and plain water on the other. It's because I won't drink if I don't do that.

I like this format better than the other gear videos.

If you don’t like merino against your skin, maybe give bamboo a try. I live in Free Fly lightweight hoodies practically year round, from muggy southeastern summers to dry cold winters (the latter with another layer or two on top). Fantastic feel, great temperature regulation. Highly recommend giving it a try.

This was long, brutal, and very informative. It’s a shame he got torched.

Porter check out the Seek Outside Sunlight for a light large 2 person tent. Weighs less than 2 pounds.

You can tell Lorenzo has hunted a lot. Between him and Brady they have a metric ass ton of knowledge

Synthetic next to skin while hiking for me is the best. Almost no moisture retention. Once I hit a glassing spot or camp, I switch to Marino, let the synthetic hang dry. I do that exact same thing with socks and underwear. It's all about moisture management.

Have any of you guys thought about getting Lasik surgery so you don’t have to wear glasses or contacts anymore? Seems like it would help Porter a lot and it would help you save probably close to a pound in weight! I’m only 26 but I’ve worn contacts since 5th grade and have am hoping to get Lasik done in a couple years!

Probably a stupid question but there is going to be a video on Lorenzo’s sheep hunt? FWIW Brady was drafted in the 6th round. Compensatory no less.
