In September I decided to apply to the University of Manitoba (my home province) for Music Composition. That’s a pretty ridiculous decision to make considering this requires a music theory test and an audition on an instrument (I had no formal training in either). However, I was encouraged by my family (and perhaps by my own unwillingness to admit when I can’t do something), so I took my first lesson in September. Additionally, I wrote 4 new tracks to use in a composition portfolio, all of which will now be uploaded, starting with this one. I auditioned in on the 17th of February and got a phone call of acceptance from the professor 2 weeks later. This is very exciting news for me, however the intense nature of the preparations have caused the channel to fall by the wayside. Now that this is all over, I will be uploading as frequently as I used to! :)

This track is free to use and monetize. No need to get permission. Just credit me (link my channel or video, or simply mention my name).

However, to protect content creators from fake claims, I’ve had to enable Content ID. When you use this track in a YouTube video, you will get a claim from my distributor « Symphonic Distributions ». Just dispute the claim and say: “I have properly credited Ross Bugden on my video.” The claim will be released within 1-2 days and your video/channel will be unaffected. You won’t lose any revenue that’s made between the claim and the release, YouTube holds it in an escrow account for you.

Congratulations on your acceptance! Keep boning up on that music theory and aural skills - they can get pretty rough! I find it amazing that you've had no formal training on theory. You're remarkably talented.
