Shohei nods His translator: “It’s good”
-
Ohtani is a gentleman. Even gives his translator a sandwich. Stadium menus are amazing these days.
-
If Shohei is 6'4", Trout 6'2", and Calhoun 5'10" then Shohei's interpreter is surprisingly tall

There’s Japanese tv coverage following Ippei (Ohtani “personal interpreter”) daily schedule. His workload actually more than just interpreting for Ohtani. He is in charge as main contact person for Japanaese media and also scheduling media coverage for Ohtani by Japanese media, monitoring Ohtani physical and fitness data from training and games, he is also in charge of managing sponsorships from Japanese brands to Ohtani, and many more daily task outside of interpreting and translating. Because of the time difference between Japan and US, these daily workload becomes more demanding since most of the contacts, phone calls, and sponsorship documents or legal contracts from Japan coming late at night almost every day. Definitely deserved that income.

"shohei, do you cook at home?" shohei: yeah trout: no chance ippei: he's single LMFAO

The guy who translates for Shohei is a lucky guy. The coolest job ever.
-
seeing ohtani two years later being as successful as he is is so wholesome. he seems like such a down to earth guy, really just seems like a big goofy kid in this video and so polite and nice. i wish nothing but successful for this man
-
I like how Ohtani just laughs at Shotani, doesn't take it personally just bursts out in giggles. Love the guy.
-
Shohei is smart man - he use the translator as his personal food taster lol
-
Mike Trout: *drinks water Lady: OMG SO COOL! I DRINK WATER!
-
I love how shohei gives his translator a sandwich.
-
Ohtani speaks and understands English perfectly... he just pretends he needs help so his boy keeps making that 7 figure 😏income. He is also very good at dance dance revolution.
-
Shotani is a 3-way player from now on, pitching, hitting and cooking
-
Shotani is a great nickname
-
3:08 one of the reasons why I love Shohei and Japanese culture. First thing he does is pass the food to translator not have it himself. What a fricking legend! He is gonna MLB famous again
-
3:05 Shohei serving his friend first ... looks so friendly
-
I love how they get along with Ohtanis translator like he's a part I the family, well he is so I shouldn't be surprised.
-
Need more stuff like this. MLB doesn’t do a very good job promoting their players and putting them in the spotlight unless it’s Bryce Harper
-
You can see how humble this man is, always grabs a piece for his friend and grabs one for himself last.
